THE S.A.A. TAKING A NEW PATH................
Last May 1999, an Election Day for the S.A.A.'s new officers was held. The other members who attended the meeting, have nominated and elected me as the new President. At first, I was hesitant to accept this position mainly becasue of my difficulty in conveying my thoughts. But, later on, I came to accept it when I started realizing the challenges of becoming the leader of this organization. It really is an honor to become Ms. Patricia Arrastia's successor.
Last September
5, 1999, the induction party was held, I am the other newly elected officers
took our very first oath. The event was both exciting ang agitating.
Exciting in the sense that we were all indroduced as the newly elected
officers - and we all felt so priviledged. At the same time, we also we
also felt nervous knowing that we would.
Here is the list of the Newly Elected Officers of the S.A.A.:
I'm working for Quezon City Municipal Office as a Computer Operation and as treasurer of Cooperative Funds for three years now. Admittedly, I was at first hesitant to handle the presidential position of S.A.A. But later on, i realized that it was worth trying becasue it gives me an opportunity to challenge each one of us to make our incapacities serve as "stepping stones" rather thatn " stumbling blocks." Let us be assets of this society rather than liabilities. Again... Maraming Salamat sa inyong lahat and more power to S.A.A. and S.A.I.D.!

Mr. Sandy Ching
Secretary, SAID Alumni AssociationPresently, I'm working for the Philippine Tourism Authority - Office of the General Manager as a Management Information Analyst. It is my first time to be elected as officer of SAID Alumni Association. It is flattering to know that my fellow schoolmates believe in me even when I don't believe so much in myself. I just hope that each and everyone of us - as members of one organization - will try our best to be very cooperative. Thanks, not only for what you did, but for making me feel that I was worth it!

took a note every meeting and I was able to suggest many things about their
plans and to supprt SAA officers to be stronger and build our Association
to be improved and better to the coming of millenium unlike what happen
to the past of old SAA officers had done. Anyway, my wish for SAA members
and officers.

Good Day! I'm 26 years old and a Board member Pro of SAID Alumni Association. I am currently working at East West Bank - Treasury Dept. As an Accounting Clerk. In my 3rd year stay in the bank, I have learned how to communicate effectively with my peers and superiors by teaching them simple sign language. Though it's hard, sometimes, the effort exerted is very evident. In the process, friendship is attained, as well as good camaraderie. As an officer of S.A.A., I will try my best to be a responsible leader a role model to our members, especially the younger ones.
I was chosento be Pro of S.A.A. and I am very excited to learn & take over the duties and responsilitites of this position. I believe this will be a totally different experience that will give me so much challenges that I will would love to meet.
