Other Miscellaneous/General Comments

I used all these books some time throughout the course, but not all the time, so my selections may be misleading as to their true necessity??"
Check out Half Price Books.  There are plenty of good used books there.  If you go early enough you'll find plenty of older edition histo atlases, histo review books (lange).  I've seen about 15 "the medical interview" by coulehan.
For the NBME final in Micro I highly recommend the Immunology & Microbiology (Board Review Series) review book and the integrator. Do not waste time looking at old notes.
For Physiology I used a book on Respiratory that was in the same series as the cardiology book.  It was great at clarifying many very important points and showing excellent graphs."
Syllabi are fine. Most classes you don't need many books.
The Medical Interview was a waste of money.  I looked at it exactly 1 time.
The review of physiology book by Berne and Levy is a great book.  Dr. McCarter recommended it to me because I didn't want to buy another physio book.  It contains all the big concepts that are tested on exams.  I have an A in the course without the full text.
before you buy anything [except a Netter's] try the syllabus alone.  you will find that it is sufficient for most of your classes. also, USED THE CD'S THAT COME WITH SOME OF THE COURSES !!!!!!
