| Characters: There are 5 different volumes in VD. Each volume has it's own set of Characters. Volume 1 Ashby: Ashby is a Yasanje Vampire, known for their ability to create illusions. Often the joker, Ashby has a difficulty dealing with intense emotional situations. His maker was Malachi Rednight. Iteka: Iteka was created by a vampire's spirit that could not re-enter its own body. It possesed the body of a human man but the man had no wounds and therefore was not a true vampire. When Iteka's flesh was torn open the spirit entered her bloodstream making her a Mesembol Vampire. Volume 2 Vincent Luna: Vincent Luna is an influential Capris Vampire. Charming and elegant, he lives alone with his fledgling Zarria in a mansion near San Francisco. Until he meets Malachi Rednight, that is... Volume 3 Malachi Rednight: As a mortal Malachi was a pirate, terrorizing the waters off the coast of Spain. Now even in his Vampiric afterlife, he still has a love for travel. Now a Deltex Vampire, Malachi finds his way to San francisco, where he meets Vincent Luna and sweeps him off his feet. This, however, angers the young Zarria Black. Also learn about his only childe, Her name was Sara, but Malachi renamed her Luna Vampira. This is part of why he's so entranced with Vincent Luna. But she is a symbol of the Vampire code broken - she was only four or five when Malachi embraced her. Volume 4 Zarria Black: Zarria Black is a young Aneiraes Vampire who lives for the attention of her mentor Vincent. But as her presence becomes more and more unnoticed, Zarria ventures out into the Prince's domain to feed. In doing so she breaks the Prince's law and encounters Damian, the Prince's sencond in command as well as other mis-behaving Vampire kin. Damian: A mysterious Deltex Vampire, Damian is not to be trusted or under-estimated. Volume 5 Logan: A Wolverine-like Batalant Vampire with a serious case of Feral Claws, Logan was captured by Damian's men the same as Zarria and Sickle. Sickle: An insane Intorri Vampire, Sickle has a secret knwledge of the final destruction that ensures his immortality. He, however, is also 'hired' by Damian to hunt down a Techno-mage. |
| Story: Volume 1 is called Miss Goodnight. It is about Ashby and his relationship with Iteka, and their escapades and encounters with other Vampires, Elysiums, and Techno-mages. Volume 2 is called Silent Ovation. Volume 2 concentrates on Vincent Luna and the workings of Vampire society. It introduces and explains the 2 Races, 10 Factions and the Domains to which the two belong. It also touches on the subject of Outcasts, known as the Kharnids. Volume 3 is called Erotic Kiss. In this Volume Malachi Rednight is brought into the picture in person. We also learn about Luna Vampira, the wise doll-like childe of Malachi. His only embrecee. And We learn more about previously introduced characters, such as Ashby, and Zarria's Nemesis/reoccuring nightmares. Volume 4 is called Wind Blows Through My Hand. This volume concentrates on Zarria and her journey out into Vampiric Society. Ghouls, Techno-mages, and the Prince become more important and begin to affect the story more. Alliegences and relationships begin to be formed, despite querries of the characters involved. Volume 5 is called A Teardrop In My Palm. This is the last Volume and concludes the journey with Zarria, Logan and Sickle's battle against the Manical Damian. All vampires involved, including the new Jann (a Yoruchi), pull out all the stops to defeat the Techno-mages and their maker. Only one thing is worse than hundreds of Techno-mages: A werewolf or two!
