*I wrote this song way back when I was in a band called Painkillers(aka Knee Deep) with now Half Fare bassist Jake Cohen and my friend Bill Browne. One day when we were fuckin around (a day close to the 4 of July) Jake for some reason played Yankee Doodle on the bass. I was just like "Man, that fuckin song makes me go CRAZEE!" It's just an annoying song, like The Star Spangled banner or this land is my land. To me all that song is is "Lets all wave our fuckin flags around and watch baseball and than we'll be REAL american. We'll be patriots just like that fella George Washinton! Woh-eh!" So in a moment of sillyness I said I was going to write the opposite of that song, the anti-yankee doodle. So I came back the next day with the song, but CCR is the first band to play it. The lyrics are basically what you see is what you get. This is THE anti-yankee doodle song...
