In a reply I said that I accepted that account, and would withdraw my request for documentaton of my account to date. I need to confirm that rent had been raised from $200 for the first year to $350 for the 2nd year, though I think that is correct. I do not recall taxes/security being as high as $75. I do recall some notice, to which I did not respond, that residents were requested to authorize an increase of their monthly taxes/security assessment, if paid by standing order. I made no such authorization. This is something I would need to confirm from bank records. I had not intended to continue paying a security fee in my absence. I had intended to put those fees into a severance pay account, under escrow, for Jake, with the intent of reaching at least $2000. It is my guess that the Vaad raised my monthly assessment, without my authorization. I clearly understood, from NS and maybe also from the Bank, that a standing order would be paid only if there were sufficient funds in the account to cover it. As I recall, when I left 24 Oct '04, I had almost nothing in my shekel account, and SF 1000 in my foreign currency account. However, NA sent the September check, which would have been USD 2200, to my Israel account. The Bank should not convert foreign currency to shekels without my signed authorization, though they would often do so in the past, with my assent to do so to cover checks, without my prior authoriuation. Even if both the SF and USD balance in my Account were used to pay those standing orders, it would not at that rate have carried through to April 15 inclusive. Maybe someone on the Vaad told Mizrahi to pay the standing order on an overdraft basis. If so, I would not wish to honor that overdraft.
