REMARKS

Noting our telephone conversation 1/5/95, I gather that you arepreparing sort of "R. Shlomo Hagadah", which will include some butnot all of his teachings on Pesach, which you plan to augment withsome but not all of his teachings on the lst 4 parshiot of Exodus, and with his teachings on the Counting of the Omer (though not onLag b'Omer).

Of course your first step is to inventory what teachings of histhere are on this topic; and as you know, we don't yet have suchan inventory. What I know I've put on =inv0494a + =inv0494b, thisis primarily an inventory of the Witt collection as of 4/94

I don't recall much on counting of the omer per se; remind me torun another PSearch for `omer' .
I would note that the search is only as good as the data-base, andthis points out, again, the need to collect all R. Shlomoteachings onto disc available at a central location, rather thansticking with intellectual feudalism.

I. PACKING LIST:
A. Text Files
a. R. Shlomo files enclosed, all in W.EXE

To read 'em just insert the enclosed floppy disc,
                 TYPE W , then
                 HIT F5 (File)
                 HIT ENTER (Get File)
                 TYPE {name of file} (ENTER)

Filenames of enclosed text files:

shpex594 Pesach only excerpts from \YOMTOV94:=sh_4x594 , Purim & Pesach excerpts,
(=sh_4x594 is the precipitate of a PSearch for `Pesach' only of BOOK6A 5/94, my 6th augmented(?) pruning of JWitt C:\BOOK
(The following were input subsequent to that PSearch:)
sh_bg2-1.ein HBG Vol 2 #1 Pesach excerpts
sh_cn3-4.ein CNS Vol 3 #4 Pesach excerpts

shlomabo Not about Pesach; but I think a teaching given in honor of your sheva brachas at the Abode (New Lebanon NY)
I input it from an incomplete handwritten transcript; if you knowof a complete transcript, please let me know.

B. Packing (enclosed to keep bytes from rattling)

. EinsteinWriter = W.EXE
T.EXE translates EinseinWriter to ASCII, which is probablyprerequisite to reading Einstein in Word.
EinsteinWriter can be purchased from Einstein at 31 HillelSt.	EinsteinPlus should do.
I recommend your working in EinsteinWriter; everybody elsehereabouts does. For camera-ready output you can switch to afashioNable brontosaurus like Word for Widows.

c. Current release of Carmel (Haifa) TNTVIRUS
    BOOTSAFE, TSAFE, & TNTVIRUS.
You probably have an installed anti-virus program; if so do notinstall these. If not, install Bootsafe & Tsafe & call viaAUTOEXEC; keep TNTVIRUS on floppy and use only in case of virus.
l2
(I once lost Witt's hard disc by running TNTVIRUS immunize inconjunction with his STACKER; if Sasson the Russian hadn'thad the sense to realize that was the problem and run a deimmunize, everything that had not been backed up would havebeen lost.
That was a commerical for making multiply redundant backups.)
l1
Then buy the product from Carmel at the listed address.

II. Next Step:
You should next transcribe the Yakar tapes from the 2 seminars R.Shlomo gave at Yakar, March 24-25 (?) 1993, and May 2-4, 1993;both, as I recall, dealt primarily with Pesach, but R. DavidZeller will recall in detail.

You'll find my relevant Yakar notes in =shpex594, but I can'tassent to their being used until they're checked against (atranscription, preferably) of the tape for accuracy.

         input 04-16-89
spesach is just one excerpt, from W-R&Z
