This is an update to my Listings ("Inventory") of all the R. SCmaterial that I know of. I title most such docs =inv*.*

N.B.: I expect that every doc I've Posted has errors. If I makecorrections on an old doc, I give it a new docname, with someminimal increment, eg =sh9312hb.* is a corrected version of=sh92312ha.*; and (awkwardly) (=si76051a.* + =si96051b.*) is acorrected version of (=sh76051a.* + =sh76051b.*)
(When docnames vary only in the suffix, there is no difference inthe text of the doc, only in the format [although Hebrew isstripped out in some reformats; hence I try to transliterateHebrew, using the mono-directional 1-to-1/Eng-to-Heb system Idetail in =trhebeng (such that from each 'significant' letter inmy transliteration, 1 and only 1 Hebrew letter corresponds[without nekudot, for which I have no system].
Inv*.* docs are obviously filled with errors. I DO NOT CORRECTINV*.* DOCS; I INSTEAD POST LISTS OF CORRECTIONS, LIKE THIS ONE.
For that reason, I intend these inv*.* docs only for the use ofpersons seriously and in good faith working on R. SC material, asdetailed in =license and =readmesc)

A Subscriber to the reb-shlomo LIST complained of my referring toR. Joshua Witt as 'Joshua', not 'Yehoshua'. My pro-formaapologies to any being whose feathers I've ruffled; I take theformer as a standard albeit imprecise English equivalent of thelatter; and in general prefer to present Hebrew words/names onlyin my transliteration system, since there's no standardtransliteration system.

PART I: Inv notes compiled after completing =inv1297b.*

Miscellaneous: I asked YS about the Kabbalah Learning Center. He said, best I recall: (R.) Shlomo told me, don't study there. He said, don't read his (R. Berg's) books. YS added: R. Shlomostudied with him in Lakewood.
	Asked a few local Chabadniks; feedback was negative, butnot dramatically so. Seems to be a consensus that the KabalahLearning Center likes money.

Michael Pomerantz, of Pomerantz bookstore, tells me that AronsonPress has announced a book of R. SC stories from the HLP.
So: CORRECTION: I noted a journal article which said that Aronsonhad been discouraged by a threat of litigration from suchpublication. Evidently the threat, the discouragement, or both,did not exist.

I have previously listed the Hebrew original, which, as I recall,was not as well-designed. But I did spell the author's nameright there.

---------------------------------------------------------

Libby Bottero and Yehudit Goldfarb note that Aryeh Coopersmith[and not, as I'd mis-stated, Aryeh Naftali, may his goats bewell] was the leader of HLP referred to =shara005.* . YehuditGolfarb notes "he was the person who found the building onArguello Stsreet and secured a donation for the exact amountneeded for the rent and depostit. He's presently shomer of theAquarian Minyan."

Yehudit Goldfarb notes of the R. Shlomo/R. Zalman tape, that is is1 of a set of 2. The first half of tape one contains Zalman'sremarks; a formal greeting by R. Zalman to R. Shlomo (who arriveslate, naturally), "and then the two of them engage in a veryspirited and humorous dialogue for a good half hour or so, untilR. Zalman leaves, with a sweet farewell and blessing." Notes thatTape 2, which she is no longer distributing, at the request of NC, apparently in 1995, "is a mini-concert with Shlomo and Neshama[Carlebach]. Notes that R. Joe Schonwald (Jerusalem) has copiesof both tapes. "Part of it was transcribed by me and EliahuMcLean, with input from Reb Zalman. You can find it onReshit.org, the website created by Rami Shapiro. Due to Zalman'seditorial input, the text varies a bit from the oral version.
--------------------------------------------------------------
N.B.: Whenever I use the abbreviation 'NC', it is in reference toMrs. Ne'eila Carlebach, of Toronto; and never to any other person.

PART II: Partial Inventory, Collection of Abe Rice ['AbeRice'=AR]

N.B.: The following listings cover less than half the Collectionof Abe Rice, and are woefully incomplete even for tapes listed,since in general I couldn't read the Hebrew-script notations ontape-covers and in associated notes.

Abe Rice: 11 Ohr HaChayim St. Old City, Jerusalem Tel (FAX): 026264-666; Tel: 02-6274-087; E-mail: Sun365@ibm.net
Terms: `Cover' -- Notations on that bit of cardboard and goesinside tape-cases, on which on writes notes.

INVENTORY, TAPES OF ABE RICE: Draft 1, 4/13/98 (Partial listing):
My notations in {braces}
N.B.:  AR uses MM-DD-YY format
I can scarcely read Hebrew script; many tape labels are in Hebrewscript; I've noted that and made a quick guess at transliteration.

AR has a detailed listing of some tapes, from "Shimon" [not yetfurther identified] who listened to them and noted each topic;most notations are in Hebrew; not presently input. I gave a xerox of that "Shimon"'s listing of those AR tapes toBen-Zion Solomon, of Meor Modi'in, for archive backup.

AR Collection is very extensive; maybe 700 tapes total (not all R.SC)
AR is willing to exchange copies of tapes.

THE FOLLOWING WERE LISTED 4/22/98:
-----------------------------------------------------------
BAG #1: NOT R. SC, NOT LISTED
-----------------------------------------------------------
BAG #2: THE AR/H-SERIES, with partial retype of detailed listing.

Summary:
I INCLUDE MY ENGLISH-ONLY RETYPE OF A MS. DETAILED DESCRIPTION,INTERSPERSED ENGLISH handwritten & Hebrew-script (=HEB.) OF TAPESH123--H158 IN ABE RICE COLLECTION
As noted above, I have given a xerox of this manuscript listing toBen-Zion Solomon, of Moshav Meor Modi'in, for archive backup; Ihope someone at Modi'in will have time to input it.

It is a detailed listing, by someone who listened to each tape,and noted each item on it.
This listing was compiled by 'SHIMON'; I don't yet know his fullname nor address; nor when it was compiled.
It covers only a rather small portion of the tapes in the ARcollection.
This listing was apparently once input, but AR says input was thenlost; apparently no BACKUP_copy_to_disperesed_location made.
Most of the notations are in Hebrew script, which I can scarcelyread.
	I have retyped the English notations; in most cases I havenot attempted even to transliterate the HEB.rew script, but simplynoted it as HEB.
The compiler has a difficult handwriting; I can't make out all theEnglish.
-----------------
Detailed notes:

There are detailed listings for most of these entries;
	I flag those notes with a #
	Most of those notes are in Hebrew script, which I canbarely read; in general I simply note them with 'HEB.'

SHIMON Remarks: "As to [sound] quality, none are rally great butthose which can not be heard or a really bad [sound] quality aremarked on my papers. All tapes [ie, teachings] are in Englishunless otherwise marked.
{N.B.: I (sa) use the notation HEB. only to indication that SHIMONused a word in Hebrew script, which I can't read, to describe theitems on the tape; I do not use the abbeviation HEB. to indicatethat a teaching is in HEbrew.} .
SHIMON adds: "I marked all of Shlomo speaking: if first word [inSHIMON's notations, which I retype] is `talk', it [R. Shlomo'steaching] is not from Sefer [ie, not a direct commentary on aspecified passage in a specified Sefer [Jewish holy book ortraditional commentary]; If I wrote 'learning' it means MTON[?M_tan, given-from?] HaSeFer.

"Tape #A141 {which I have not yet located to List - sa} you leftyour blank - but in contents you have the date -- list";
SHIMON notes: "There is a guy Moishe Bron in Boro Park who shouldhave a major collection {presumably, a collection of R. Shlomoteachings on Tape}."

This is the H-series, H-123--H164:
Many of the H-series have also an R-series number
I excerpt detailed descriptions from the listing of #SHIMON
Those listings note all songs, and all teachings. Hebrew script,which I scarcely read, is intermixed with English. I will not tryto note the songs, only the teachings.
SHIMON's handwriting is hard to read; in some cases I probablymisread his word 'song' as 'story'

{END MY LISTING OF ABE RICE (=AR) COLLECTION TO DATE, 4/27/98}
As noted, there remain to be listed in the Abe Rice collection atleast the following: All tapes stacked on the top of the case mounted in front of the computer; all tapes in the remainingshelves -- 3 or 4, as I recall -- in that case. I do not not knowif there are additional unlisted tapes, in addition to these.
It is likely that many of the R-series tapes I note as 'Not Found'are included on those shelves.
------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTES TO MY LISTINGS

* N.B.: Since R. Shlomo usually continued the 3rd meal well afternightfall, it is likely that his 3rd-meal teachings were recordedby someone who had already made havdalah.

** {This is Light of the Mountains, Leicester, North Carolina. Cf. also =sh84kp18, , my transcription of a talk given there. From the notation 'Hasidic dancing' I would guess that this is anadditional tape from that seminar by R. SC}

*** Probably at the shul of R. Nehemia Pollen, Everett,Massachusetts; with or recorded by Notan Schaefer
