	SUMMARY OF %YR105
No English teachings.
A number of short Hebrew teachings, with Yakov Rottenberg notes asvery good. SO THE HEBREW SHOULD BE TRANSCRIBED.
ONlyone new niggun, and, though it's unusual, I don't think it'sworht transcribing -- too gung ho.
It's a short tape: 30 minutes Side A; about 15 minutes side B.
Neither the performance nor the sound quality was very good.

The Rottenberg Horde
G1: Maxwell LN 60, Type II. High, chromium oxide.
Nobody ever writes manufacture date on tapes.

Label on box reads: Hanuka, Tape I, lst Night, Hanukah, Leil KNSIBG , Hanukah,
Side 2 of tape reads: TApe 1, lst night, New Niggun, Lo Taidshi,; Hebrew: ?? Gil Consil?

START SIDE A: 09:52
Sounds clearly like a paying concert.
At the Moshav, during Hanuka.
Probably a rather large crowd.
Sound quality not good; Seems to have overloaded the taperecording system; there's that overload fuzziness.
R. Shlomo sounds as if he's pushing, and a bit flat. Both singerand musicians miss some notes.

R. Shlomo: make it louder.
Hello hello.
R. Shlomo: Ok, good.

R.Shlomo niggun: El Adon.
	Lacklustre.

Hebrew: Ok, rabati, Hag Samaech.
R. Shlomo is clearly asking folks who didn't pay, to pay.
So this is apt to be a Modi'in concert.
Sound quality is not good. Seems to have overtaxed recorder;unless I just blew my speaker.

Lukewarm applause.

R. Shlomo speaking in Hebrew.

R. Shlomo: L'man Ahi v'Reah
Sounds tired, and flat.
Tambourine in background. R. Yankele, or Michael Golumb.
Trumpet, maybe muted. Mordechai haLevy?
Weak applause.

R. Shlomo speaking in HEbrew:

R. Shlomo: Adir Hu.
Sounds like everyone's trying to make it uphill.

R. Shlomo speaking in Hebrew:

Niggun: soft. slow: Uncommon, but previously noted. Eli AniBohiya --
Maybe the tape just deteriorated; could R. Shlomo have beenflat on all the songs the so far.
	Weak applause.

R. Shlomo niggun: brisk. L'cha dodi.

R. Shlomo teaching in Hebrew.

R. Shlomo niggun: New niggun, very major. One wants to put on abow-tie for it. Sounds like something very early, for yeshivabokers.

END SOUND SIDE A:
-------------------------------------------------------------
START SIDE B:

Sound cuts in a bit late.
R. Shlomo speaking with enthusiasm: 'kol ha yeladim -- let's go': Niggun: familiar: finger cymbals, trumpet,
20:55

R. Shlomo: Ein lecha latkes? -- let's go .
Niggun resumes.
A good performance for a large crowd with a poor sound system, but doesn't come over on tape.
{Applause is not strong}

R. Shlomo aside: Joshau. Get me the Hanukia, I want to bentchHanuka licht.

R.Shlomo: Rabbotai, b'rusht 'chem.
Efshar ksat sheket kama dakot.
R. Shlomo: teaching on Hanuaka (Hebrew).
They made history of the world.
R. Shlomo seems to be speaking a very clear, colloquial Hebrew. With maybe a dash of IDF influnece (simulev).
Without an Ashkenazi accent, I think. So his Ashkenazi accentseems to have only applied to speaking religious Hebrew.
Maybe something of a USA accent, tho RN, as I recall, said he hadsomething of a German accent.
Rabbotai rak simulev.

{R. Shlomo sings the brachas}.

Aside, to the band: I'm going to D Major
Wait wait. I made a mistake. It's D.

Niggun: Familiar. 21:12.
	With Hanuka words.

R. Shlom: Remarks (Hebrew).
Recouting something said by the Bobov Rebbe in Brooklyn.
Apparently a story of someone in a hospital, with no relatives.
Gvalt . Nissim v' niflaot.

R. Shlomo announces a short intermission.
Someone announces cassettes for sale.
21:18
END OF RECORDING,
END TAPE: 21:25
