INTRODUCTORY QUOTE FROM R. SHLOMO CARLEBACH;

< =sh85a9d5

You know, I mamash had the privilege -- I don't think myfather could talk to me more than fifteen minutes, could be aboutanything, without mentioning the Beis HaMikdash. But one way orthe other, without ?wanting it? [ie, without contriving noraffecing connections] -- everything has to do with the BeisHaMidash. Or Yeushelayim.

And my father told me, that my Zeyde -- mamash -- I couldn't-- mamash, the word Yerushelyaim, Beis HaMikdash was on his tongueall the time.

And we should give it over to our children. Mamash, our childrenshould live in a world which has a Beis HaMikdash already. Butjust, until it happens, we should be able to put it under ourtongues.

You cannot marry a woman unless you ask her first. The asking isso deep.
When G-d gave us the Torah, He asked us first if we want it
and we answered, "Na'ase venishma." We didn't run after G-d
asking, please give us the Torah.
G-d didn't ask Avraham if he wanted Eretz Israel; He said, "I
am giving it to you." So, what was missing was, we never ran
after G-d begging Him for Eretz Yisrael.
We had to go into exile, we had to go through all the
mistakes, we have to wait for Moshiach because He will only come
when we beg for Him. Eretz Yisrael, the real Eretz Yisrael, the
Moshiach Eretz Yisrael, will only be given to us when we beg for
it.\\
------------------------------------------------------------------
There are two Torahs. There is Mount Sinai, the Torah from
heaven, that we learned from Moshe Rabbenu. And then, there is
the Torah that we learned from Aharon HaCohen, the Torah of
Yerushalayim, of Eretz Yisrael, the Torah of the Beis HaMikdash,
the Torah of Teshuva.
In short, there is the Torah of Moshiach ben Yosef, the
tzadik who does everything right. The Torah of Teshuva, Mashiach's
Torah, is the Torah of mistakes. It is David HaMelech's Torah.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Aharon is the one who made the Golden Calf. Aharon was the masterof mistakes.
G-d gave us the Torah of non-mistakes. On Mount Sinai, G-d
asked us if we want it, and we said yes. As for the Torah of
mistakes, we have to run after G-d to get it.
As for the Eretz Yisrael which G-d gave to Avraham, we have
it. It belongs to us. But, this is not the Eretz Yisrael of
Mashiach.

In Egypt, the holiness was that it was completely
beyond, like I was doped up with holiness. Because how could we
exist in exile? Take the Russian Jews. It's crazy, right? In
America there is complete free choice, in Israel we have free
choice. And our Yiddishkeit is not so strong. The lowest
Yiddelah in Russia, he doesn't even know what Eretz Yisrael means,
he doesn't even know what Yerushaliam means. And he wants to go
to Yerushaliam, he's willing to sit in Siberia I don't know how
long. But this comes from a higher level.

Because the Meshiach is coming, it's not the seeing,
even of Moshe Rabbenu seeing Eretz Yisrael. It's mamash {the

to hear the music of the Levites up there.

This land is for people who G-d shows it to.
A stewardess on an airline said: What's wrong with you Jews -- if
I ever convert, the next morning I'm in Israel --
What's wrong with us? Because we were there when the
Miraglim were ther [Exodus: ]. It contaminated us. [with
ambivalence about the land of Israel] -- the converts were only
there at Mt. Sinai.

And you know how you conquer Eretz Israel, how do you conquer the
world? When it's clear to you that the world is really longing.
The world is longing for the deepest, deepest depths. But again,
let it be clear to you, if you're full of doubts, you won't get
it.
------------------------------------------------------------------
you know what Amalek did to us? Because there was one little
billionthell of a shade of a doubt left. So the whole world didn't
come. And because the whole world didn't come, we made the Golden
Calf. Because if the whole world would have come, we wouldn't
have made the Golden Calf. And because the whole world didn't
come, we didn't go into Eretz Yisrael.

Anything to do with eretz Yisrael is beyond proportion. ]

For us, everything is in proportion. What's Amalek saying? Amalek says, everything is in proportion. Let's cool it, measureit. If I	measure something, I have to be cool. If I don'tmeasure something, I'm blowing my mind. I'm crazy, right.

Then somebody else says that before G-d created the world,\\
He created Yerushalayim. And He stood in Yerushalayim when Hecreated the world.

You know it's so important to go fast to shul, that even on
Shabbos you are permitted to run to shul [but not from shul].
Have you ever seen a Chasan running to the Chupah? Why not?
Aren't you supposed to run to a mitsva?
The answer is very simple. Because [it took] us Yidden forty
years to come to Eretz Yisrael.
Do you know what Reb Nachman said? Sometimes the hardest
thing is to go slow. You know when we came out of Egypt, we
wanted the Torah right away, and G-d says, count 49 days. So I
bless you that this should be the last time we are going slow.

RETURNING TO THE LAND OF ISRAEL
 It's a few days after Tisha B'Av.
Can you imagine when we were driven out from the Holy Land.
It's even too heartbreaking to think about. Thousands, thousands,
thousands, all of us, with our hands chained to the back, chains\\
------------------------------------------------------------------
\YOMTOV94\SH_2X594

Do you know how I'm learning Simchas Torah? I'm holding the
Torah in my hands. You know why I didn't hold out my hand to the
whole world before? I was learning with my head. I want you to
know something. Obviously on Succos we conquer Eretz Yisrael.
Because on Yom Kippur when I fix everything and the Kohen Gadol
calls out the Shem HaMiforash, G-d's Name is whole again. Then
mamash we go out in the world, and I build the Succah outside and
the Succah has to be so beautiful, the esrog has to be beautiful.

but our ownership was only as much as we thought it's worth. And
the spies affected us -- you don't know it -- like everybody ____
-- they say: "Israel is beautiful BUT -- it's got problems" --
so sadly enough -- bad thing??
And if you remember, we were learning it: The way you look
at eretz Israel, that's the way you look at every Jew.
So I say, "Every Jew is holy BUT -- ...
-------------------------------------------

I remember brother B-Z taught me, he told it once, chevre you
know, the old torah:
Hanukah is the only miracle which happens in eretz Israel, in
Yerushalim. Why did it happen in Jerushalaim. Because it says
"Ayin haShem el la kecha????", G-d looks at eretz Israel all the
time. Mamash, the eyes, right.
So what is all the trouble in Israel? Because we are not\\
-----------------------------

But anyhow, Reb Stoliner?? Elimelekh, he came to eretz Israel.
He arrived by ship in Jaffo, 1936, took a cab to Jerushalyim
And the whole time, the windows are open, and he stares outside.
So someone says, Rebbe, you're so tired, why don't you rest a
little bit. He says, G-d's eyes are glued to the land, G-d's\\
---------------------------------------------------------------
That something is so beautiful, I see it, I want to have
it. What's happened to the Miraglim? Because they made it less
beautiful to us, so we didn't want to have it. So the fixing of
it is, that on hanunka, mamash I look at the light, and I see,
mamash, how proud G-d is of us, how proud G-d is of any yidden, I
look at eretz Israel, mamash, I want to have it so badly.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Greeks think they know everything. And we are mamash like alittle candle. Gevalt is this candle so precious.
G-d should give us the privilege, all our families should
kindle lights, we should all be so proud of each other. So proud
of our children. So proud of eretz Israel, b'ruch haSHEM.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You know, when I want someone else to get closer to
yiddishkeit, and eretz Israel, [if I] tell them eretz Israel is
good -- nobody's coming, 'cause it's _______. [But if I tell
them] Ah, it's beautiful -- what a drawing-card.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The KOTZKER Rebbe's
grandson said, {HEBREW, quoting Genesis, Lech L'cha: ... go to
the land which I will show you."} He says, there's no mitzva in
the world where there's so much controversy, if you have to do it
before Meshiach's coming. Go to eretz Israel or not. Some
Rebbes say yes, some say no. So he says: At the end, there's no
decision. So he says: But if G-d wants you to be Israel, HE'll
let you know. Says [loc cit.] "I will show it to you".
He says: eretz Israel is so precious to G-d, G-d only wants\\

I want you to know friends, when do we yidden get close to each

So here the Ribono shel Olam says, it's not a question of
Korach or Aharon. The queation is, is everything inside or
is everything outside? Now, open your hearts in the deepest
way. The spies came to eretz Israel and they say bad things
about eretz Israel. What's their problem? Same thing,

you outside?
So this shabbos is so good friends. But can you
imagine, can you imagine that mamash after the meraglim,
after last shabbos where we were so broken. Because we
looked at eretz Yisrael like outsiders. G-d says to Moshe,
"I'm sorry I can not give them eretz Yisrael, because eretz
Yisrael is not given to outsiders." The meraglim were also
holy, right? But where's inside? So, this shabbos, at the
end of this parsha, when G-d's fixing us again.

Yet, when you talk about the Yidden it is already touching yourheart. You can

the Russian Jews are also coming back, after that everybody hadgiven up

For two thousands years we Jews were in exile; so many times wewere

the Russian Jews was mostly motivated by the fact that they wereconnected to

"Eretz Israel is the land which G-d gives you only when you don't
know what to do."
What is so special today in Eretz Israel ... mamash, nobody knows
what to do ... they have big mouths, but nobody really knows what
to do."

Our connection to Eretz Yisrael is beyond preportion --
it's not normal. It's not normal for a people to be driven
out from their land for 2000 yearas and come back. It
doesn't make sense. Our whole connection is beyond
preportion.
So here I want you to know:
Everybody knows: Yosef haTzadeik is the king outside of
Eretz Yisrael. Yehuda is the king in Eretz Yisrael.
 ...
Basically Eretz Yisrael is a proportion. It's a land,
it's a house.
Rebbe Nachman say: it's a land like every land, it's a
house like every house.
---------------------------------
I want ouy to know the deepst depths: Moshe Rabbenu
didn't come into Eretz Yisrael. Remember, I told you before:
eretz Yisrael is mind-blowing. So basically, Moshe Rabbenu
- Torah sh'b'KTaV is so many words, so many letters. Torah
sh'ba'al Peh is mind-blowing.
And what is it both together -- both togther is eretz Yisrael
and Meshiach. So can you imagine how much Moshe Rabbenu was
davening, crying his eyes out -- that he should be ZoKhaH,
privileged, to the mind-blowing connection of Torah sh'b'KTaV
and the torah Sh'ba'al PeH.

Basically, the way G-d is punishing us -- driving us out
form the land -- what we went through for 2000 years is
completely beyond proporiton. We didn't deserve it. You
tell me the 6,000,000 is in proportion. Beyond proportion.
{FNEW44b(1)sa}
Do you know why? Anything to do with eretz Yisrael is beyond
proportion. For us, everything is in proportion. What's
Amalek saying? Amalek says, everything is in proportion.
Let's cool it, measure it. If I measure something, I have to
be cool. If I don't measure something, I'm blowing my mind.
----------------------------------------------------
Remember we were learning about: Eretz Israel is beyond
proportion [supra, =sh_ew44a]. We were driven out 2000 years
ago and we are coming back -- it's beyond proportion. And
also, the learning, basically, the way G-d punished us, in
Galutz  {FNew44b(13)sa}

If you want something to last forever,
plant it in Adar.' Let it be beyond -- let it be more than
anything.
So I just want to say one more thing; obviously this is
mamash the deepest depths:
Until we want Eretz Yisrael completely, completely, we
can't do it geyond proportion. Because anything you don't
love completely - you can't do beyond proportion.
The one?? - chet - sin - of the miraglim, the spies, was
to see how much into proportion they were -- that they

I want you to know just at the end of the Holy Wall is
beyond proportion. An all broken wall -- to come from the
ends of the world to davin for one minute -- a gevalt.

Why is Eretz Israel built at the beginning by non
religious people? Because if we religious people would have
come, it would have been in proportion. A yiddele who learns
Rambam -- Ramban says its' a mitzva YiShuV Eretz YiSRAl, to
live in Eretz Israel. A mitzva to put on t'fillin, a mizva
to build Eretz Israel - the Holy Land. So he'll come.
First, he never heard of the Rambam --

See what the Zohar Kodesh says: When someone by mistake
walks into my dining room, I tell them [politely] to leave. When
someone by mistake walks into my bedroom, I say, Get out of here!
It's awesome -- it's even too awesome to pronounce it -- the
Zohar Kodesh says Eretz Yisrael is G-d's bedroom.
You know what the bedroom is: Where you have secrets with
your wife. This is the place where G-d has secrets with us
Yiddin, our people. It's us and G-d. You \\ COMPLETE IT:

Jerusalem
is the hospital for anger, right. And the Ribono shel olam takes
all of us creeps and angry people coming to Jerusalem and there is
our chance, mamish _____ halavi {halavi = (relig. Hebrew): _____}
Now listen to this awesome tora: Why did Moshe Rabenu not go
into eretz Israel? Why did he want to go in so much. This is
from Reb Nachman, I mean its' a Rebeshe torah. You know that
Moshe Rabenu had the highest G-d--revelation in the world, when he
was on Mt. Sinai it even whatever Israel can reveal, he had it
all, he had all the flashlights, all the psychedelic lights.
 ...
Ok: Eretz Israel is the headquarters of patience. And Moshe
Rabneu, you know what Reb Nachman says, because Moshe Rabneu wants
so much to be connected to eretz Israel and therfore he is
connected in the deepest way for making a way.
Do you know how connected you are to something when you are
 ...
standing on Ben Yehdua, at haMasabir, wiating for Spritzele. she
comes, mazal tov. She doens't come, every second I wait oy where
is my Spritzele
So Moshe Rabenu by waiting, is the deepest conenction, right.
Now you see how deep this is: Moshe Rabneu says to G-d, I have to
be in eretz Israel to fix my patience _____. Don't go. Gevalt

In the name of _________: There is Torah which you keep in the
bank, and there is Torah you need to keep with you, like [ready]
cash.
"Why did G-d create the world? Because He loved us so much."[4-3]
The Rambam says, the world begins with the Holy of Holies...the
whole world is holy because the land of Israel is in the world.
Whatever happens in Israel, the world is turning over...because
obviously this is the headquarters.
 ...
What was the mistake of the spies (Exodus: ) -- they thought
the land of Israel was given on the level of business.
[When the spies said] We are not strong enough [to possess the
land of Israel] -- [they meant] we don't yet have enough Torah
mitzvas.
The fixing was -- Moshe says, nothing is big enough to deserve the
land.

You can't eat the korban Pesach outside eretz Israel so how could
they eat it in Egypt: that night, clouds (of glory) came and
carrried us to Jerusualem (the heavenly city). The first time we
were in Jerusalem -- what a gift.
