When G-d created the world, when 'HE' spoke for the firsttime, 'HE' said 'Let there be light.' The world cannot existwithout light. My soulmate can be standing next ot me, but ifthere's no light I don't see her. There can be a treasure next tobe but I won't see it.
... {ellipsis sa} We have good street lights. People canfind the banks, the movies, the nightclubs and ice cream parlors. But the world is still dark, because the deepest light in theworld is to see you own heart, to really see the people you love,to really see the deepest depths of life, the deepest depths ofthe Tora.
Everyobody knows, we kindle Hanuka lights in our own housestogether with our fmaily -- it's a must. Because when I see thewhole world is full of Greek culture, full of Greek streetlightsand I look at the world, it's still dark. When I look at mychildren, at the people I love -- and just for them, as I kindlethe Hanuka lights, I pray for the real light, the heavenly light, the light which shines between heaven and earth, between one humanbeing and the other.

Hanukah is the only mitzva which is only at night, because(sadly enough), most of us have to go through a lot of Greekdarkness until we find the light -- the real Light, theeverlasting One.

is a little bit dark, because we don't know where it's leading to.
Just as on Hanukah the miracle of lights happened in Israel,in the holy Temple, let the miracle hapen this year that we seeeach other, that we see the world and that world sees us. I wantour children to grow up with the light.

We kindle the lights at the window, begging the world -- stopliving in darkness. Here is the light from Jerusalem. "Let itbe"!

Good Hanuka, Goot Yomtov. G-d needs every light of Hanukah. G-d need every Jewish home. The world needs every Jewish home tofill the whole world with light.
