GENERAL NOTES TO =inv0195*
These have gone through two FAT crashes, and I think I've lostentries in both cases.
=inv0195 was chopped into =inv0195a...f
I don't find a =inv0195e, but I'm not sure I ever used thatdocname.
I think =inv0195c, =in0195d, and =inv0195f survived the 2nd crashundamaged.

=inv0195a: Disc input
=inv0195b: Hardcopy, books, transcripts
=inv0195c: Outlines, indicies
=inv0195d: Network; Audio & video cassettes
=inv0195e: Tapes inventory

SYSTEM MANAGER NOTES:
I'VE NOTICED THAT WHERE MY MS-DOS 5.00 GOES TO ABORT-RETRY-FAIL ONA FAT CRASH, EINSTEINWRITER'S LIST-FILES CRUISES THROUGH --APPARENTLY BY-PASSES THE FAT AND READS THE FILES DIRECTLY -- thismakes is a valuable alternative to my 9/91 MIRROR.COM, which (a)writes the 2nd FAT to Track 0 next to the first, and so is no helpin a physical Track 0 failure (b) in conjunction with my NDD,seems to throw out everything that isn't exactly in the rightplace and perfectly tidy.
In short, neither the versions of MIRROR (9/91) nor NDD that Ihave are as much help as one would have expected; in case ofanother FAT I'd go straight to EinsteinWriter.

R. SHLOMO MATERIAL: DISC
I. PRE-PUBLICATION MATERIAL:
None of this stems from new input; \KIDS1094, \YOMTOV94, AND\REBBE94 were distributed 6/94, primarily to the Witts; (\KIDS1094 has been distributed for several years, primarily tothe Frumins. \WED1094 was prepared and distributed 10/94,primarily to the Witts.
None of these collections have been augented by material input in\BOOK6A

II: Pre-publication material:
To date I have assembled 3 collections which might be workedinto publishlable booklets:
	(1) excerpted remarks on children (\KIDS1094)
              100 K pp34 116 excerpts (=kida1094 + =kidb1094)
	(2) excerpted remarks on each of the holidays (\YOMTOV94)
              246 K (=sh_1x594 ... =sh_6x594)
	(3) excerpted remarks on Rebbes (\REBBE94)
              100 K (=reba1094 + =rebb1094)
All of the preceeding should be augmented with hitherto non-inputmaterial.

In addition, I have made, as a possible help for R. Joshua Witt,
who has invested considerable time in the preparation of R. Shlomowedding material, a topical collection of input material onweddings:
	(4) (\WED1094) 385 K
Since there are a large number of wedding transcripts (collectionof R. Joshua Witt) that have not been input, this collection canbe considerably augmented.

=sh-etopi: Excerpts from sh-topic, which was a mix a excerpts andtopic-listings that I made from hardcopy which I got from J. Wittand was too lazy to type. Made 5/94.

=sh_T1: Input of #T1, Chanukah, 1975, updates =sh_t1n.ak 5/94

=SH_t4:	Input of #T4, Chanuka no date (est. 1979), previously in=sh-topic

=w-j&n2:	Update of =W-J&N, from re-transcription by TamarGottstein (TGG); Wedding, R. Joel & Naomi Glick.
(N.B.: I notice that =w-j&n duplicated text; which textoccurs unduplicated but with no additional material in =wedjoel ,probably 3/87, probably my renaming of what was salvaged from theTeager Drive A Crash. In short: If you ever bump into=wedjoel, ignore it.)

II. YAKAR:

1. Yakar 12/26-29/93 Seminar (incomplete)

The following are my input of TGG's transcriptions to date
of the R. Shlomo Yakar 12/26-29/93 Seminar; and have been sentback to her on disc for Hebrew, references, & proofreading:
TGG has noted that these sessions were distinguished by unusuallydetailed attention to texts; for that reason I think it would begood if the pre-game exposition of text, by Yakar staff, was alsotranscribed.

=shtx9312: English adaptation (from "Advice") of R. Nachman textsused in 9/26-29/93 Seminar

=sh931226 + =sh93122b : R. Shlomo's 12/26/93 Yakar teaching
	Session 1 (=Day 1)

=sh122793: R. Shlomo's 12/27/93 Yakar teaching from start toshortly before 12:08 P.M.
  	SESSION 2 = DAY 2
Input (sa) from TGG xerox transcript pp40B--48 (ie end)
TAPE REFERENCE IS NOT CLEAR. CHECK TAPE LABEL (WITH TGG)
APPARENTLY STARTS ON %Peace2 and ends on start of %Peace3
Prefaced by my notes of the pre-game, followed by notesof the balance of the Session. Pre-game probably not taped.
I think this was the day R. Shlomo had a few words to sayabout the `piece process'.
When transcription is completed, I suggested renamingthe document =sh931227 & deleting my notes
	ADDITIONS: =sh12279a + =sh12279c
Additional successive fragments. =sh12279a is sequential,=sh12279c is successive but not sequential

=sh122893: Partial R. Shlomo 12/28 teaching, beginning about 1/2hour after he did, ending about 1/2 hour later, augmented on bothends with my unchecked notes.
When transcription is completed, I suggest renaming thedocuemtn -sh931228, and deleting my notes
	Primary topic is anger.
Teaching apparently beings on Tape %Peace3, and may beentirely thereon.

=sh931229: R. Shlomo 12/29 teaching, partial, from start to about13:15, followed by my notes for the balance of the session.
	Transcript #sh931229a(yk)(tgg) pp21
Also headed "Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach speaking on anger"
TAPE NOT CLEAR. Probably starts on PEACE3 Changes to SideB at p15 . p21 announces that the next topic (not yet transcribedwill be Rachmanut. Peace4 is apparently tititled Rachmanut. Sothis Session 4 =Peace 4 probably ends on Peace4.
	ADDITIONS: =sh93122b

III. My transcription of tapes which I copied from HaskalaSasson, Modi'in, and sent on to Yakar, hopefully as the start of aMaster File of relatively original tapes. However, I think theyducked out of the honor of being a R. Shlomo archive -- pity, it'sthe only building I know of that the B.B. Wolf couldn't knock off, esp. relative to the offices of Solomon & Witt -- and more or lessgave the tapes away.

I GATHER THAT B'NEI JESHRUN HOSTED A SERIES OF R. SHLOMO TALKS; IASSUME ALL WERE RECORDED. THEN, IF I RECALL, AT ONE POINT THEROOF FELL IN (ARCHITECTURALLY, NOT MERELY LITERALLY); AND I DON'TKNOW HOW MUCH MATERIAL WAS LOST, NOR WHO HAS WHAT'S LEFT, NOR WHATIT CONSISTS OF. R. MEIR FUND SHOULD KNOW; SO FAR I'VE NOT HEARDFROM HIM.

The actual recording on each side of the tape is only {530}, iejust over 15 minutes per side. It may originally have beenrecorded onto a 30-minute tape, we now have it copied onto 90minute tapes. Haskala Sasson at Modi'in has or had a relativelyoriginal copy.

=sh-ebest
Excerpts of teachings, but not of actual stories, from the storieson the "Best of Shlomo" Series. Since this series is legally, halachically, and in short unequivocally copyright -- violatorswould be consigned to fire and brimstone if Luther hadn't eaten itall -- any repro of this teachings might without overstatement becharacterized as quite problematic.
I couldn't resist transcribing portions, but I've tried tointroduce ellipses of important portions, including most of eachstory, so that what's left as input is no substitute for the tape.
I was most concerned to catch (a) historically accurate referencesto particular Rebbes and to their teachings (b) Remarks in whichR. Shlomo indicated the source of his stories (c) little nuanceswithin the story in which R. Shlomo's own voice, and in a fewcases the voice, I think, of his Israel Secretary, R. Joshua Witt, comes through.
IT MUST BE STRESSED AGAIN THAT ALL THIS MATERIAL IS COPYRIGHT,JERUSALEM STAR, 1991.
