Kislev is "Himlech Ois Samech b'Shainah", (the letter Samech, insleep). It's the time of the night, right.

So Kislev always... when it comes Chodesh Kislev, it is the
beginning of Yaakov Avinu. The Brachos. The first Shabbos of
Chodesh Kislev is always "Parshas Toldos". Or maybe in an
emergency case, it's Mivarchim HaChodesh. (The Shabbos of
blessing the month) But mostly it's the first Shabbos, and"V'yaytsay" and "V'yishlach."

Kislev. The Torah of Kislev cannot come from the head. This
month is sleeping, so it has to be...half asleep, right. It
should be the highest kind of sleep, not the lowest kind.
Now, what's the first thing of a person being asleep? That
their eyes are closed. And always the first Shabbos in Kislev
is Yizchak who is blind. His eyes were closed. It's awesome.
The second Shabbos in Kislev always is Parashas VaYeitsei.
And G-d reveals Himself to Yaakov in a dream. And again, this
is something which we have to learn for a long time. I just
want to give you a little taste. Because wouldn't you say
it's much deeper if G-d reveals Himself to Yaakov when he's

And you know it's such a privilege to get married in ChodeshKislev. The letter of Chodesh Kislev is " ", Samech. Mamash aring is Samech. And Reb Leibele Eiger says, the Zohar HaKodeshsays, we marry our holy wives with a ring because it's the letterSamech "

(5) SHEVAT:

D:\BOOK4\BK6A6B\6ATEACH2\SH_EW1.EIN 59203 21APR94 3:08p

You know those few days are so deep. You know what Chodesh
Shvat is? Chodesh Shvat is a yod? Basically I want you to know
that Chodesh Shavat is a dark month. Because the winter is dark.
And without getting involved, if you rememner... {eo} Do you know
what Essav does? Essav knows that he cannot stop us from being
Jewish. But do you knw what Essav wants? He wants us not to want
it one hundred per cent. You want to keep Shabbos? Ok, I let
you. But give me five percent. Just a little bit, right.

D:\BOOK4\BK6A6B\6AWED\Y-T 31255 12NOV92 7:46a PRIMARILY FOR TU B'SHVAT; COPY OFF TO \BOOK6B\HOLI94

That means G-d is taking care of us all the time, but
sometimes we're not so much aware of it. Because putting people
together...
OK, Tanya and Yankele, I've got to tell you something
fast. Right now it's mamash midnight, Chamisha Asar B'Shvat (the
Fifteenth of Shvat). Remember we were learning the whole time,
the New Year of the Tree. The Mishna always says, "One Tree", it
doesn't say all the trees. One tree. So all the Rebbes say, it'sthe Tree of Life. Mamash all our lives, all year long, we are
just eating from the Tree of Knowledge. Tonight, especially at
midnight, ... because everything which happens at night alwayshappens at midnight ... it's the beginning of the Tree of Life.
 ...
Their closeness doesn't grow because nothing grows from outside...
Only from the inside. Snake stuff doesn't grow. That's the Tree
of Knowledge. Ahh, the Tree of Life... under the earth. Mamash,
"Chaya olam nota b'sochenu" (He planted inside of us everlasting
life) Inside, inside, it's planted inside. So the Gemora says,
on the Fifteenth of Shevat, the roots are becoming so deep, so
deep.
Shvat is	Roshei Tevos (the words begin with the letters),Shomreim,	Borcheim, Tahareim. Mamash, you're in the month whereG-d says to Yidden, "I'll guard you. I will bless you. And Iwill purify you.

N.B. I'll have to re-check; I did bump into a very good one,in \BOOK6B; he said that when there are 2 Adars, we have to behappy, because even if there's some unhappiness, it's diluted by afactor of 60 (happy days), so the happiness is still kosher. Unless maybe I read it in the Jerusalem Post, Shlomo Riskin orMoshe Kahn.

(7) NISAN:
D:\BOOK4\BK6A6B\6ATEACH2\SH_BG2-1.EIN 20753 13MAR94 3:42p (1 matches)
.h2, sh_bg2-1.ein < HBG/II(1)a, R. Shlomo Carlebach on Pesach -
-
On Pesach we celebrate freedom, which means that G-d in
Heaven opens the gates of freedom. This world is just a vessel
for higher worlds, so something is happening in Heaven on Pesach
night, and actually the whole month of Nisan, the month of
freedom. We see all of nature becoming green. All the little
seeds who were sitting under the earth and crying are now coming
out, becoming free. Everything begins to grow.

(8) IYAR:
D:\BOOK4\BK6A6B\6ATEACH\LGG 49059 2MAY93 3:10p (2

Let me ask you something, you know why the moon, is always...after it's full, it goes down again? Because the moon says to G-d "There's got to be more to it." Why was the moon...at thebeginning, what's the moon telling G-d? Two lights cannot havethe same amount. Because the moon says, yea, the sun isbeautiful. The light you give me is beautiful, there has to bemore to it. Ribbono shel Olam, can't you give me more light? SoG-d says OK, the only way of getting more light is, you alwaysstart from the beginning. I give you the light, and you stop, andsay, "Oy, Ribbono shel Olam, I want more than that." You see,Yissachar, every month, they (the tribe of Yissachar) knowexactly, they are so much in tune with the moon, (which) alwayswants more.
So this is Chodesh Iyyar. I want you to know something. Imagine I'm coming to the Holy Wall, right. And you knowsomething, I was by the wall a thousand times. I'm not reallyexpecting anything. It's good you know, Yerushalayim, go to thewall, knock off a little Maariv. Whenever you expect more.. theglowing of more is Aharon HaCohen. Always more, more, more, more. ...

Anyway, I want you to know friends, the Sokotchover says onething. Everybody knows that Chodesh Nisan is for all the Yidden.Chodesh Iyyar is S'firas HaOmer V'sfartemlachem. (And you should count.) Every Yid, every Yid by himself. That means the fixing of Nisan is Klal Yisrael, and Iyyar is everyYid by himself. Every Yid by himself. And I most humbly added, that Adam and Chava, are the same way. Adam and Chava, they arethe father and the mother of the world. But then there's private. Adam and Chavala, right. They were private people also, right. And their fixing is Chodesh Iyyar. What's their fixing? Theirfixing is that we don't give up. They say, "Ribbono Shel Olam, ifI missed it, please let me do it again."
And what is the fixing of Reb Shimon bar Yochai? You knowjust imagine, Rabbi Akiva has 24,000 students. And nothing isleft. Wouldn't you give up? He didn't give up. He starts allover again. And this Reb Shimon bar Yochai... Reb Shimon barYochai, is from the talmidim after he lost everyone. We shouldnever lose anybody anymore. And you know friends, gevaldt, whydid the students of Rabbi Akiva take off during S'fira? Becausejust remember, S'fira is every Jew. Pesach you can make it ifyou're just in love with Yiddishkeit, if you are not madly in lovewith every Jew. If you are not madly in love with every letter ofthe Torah. Iyyar, if you don't love every Jew, if you don't givehim so much kavod.... You know what it means to love every Jew? Not, "I love you"... every Jew. To love every Jew means I realizethat there's this one Yid; he is one Yid in the world.

(Teaching on Pesach Sheni)

And basically the Shemi Shmuel says, something very strong to
remember, that the whole month of Nisan, (last month), of??
Pesach, is the month of all of Israel, of community, together, and
this month is the month of the individual.
Becuase everybody knows also they're counting the dates between
Pesach and Shavuos, and this is, every individual has to count.

(9) SIVAN:
shav0 < EJW13.EW8, < JW13, R. SHLOMO ON SHAVUOS, 5750,

Chodesh Sivan always beings after Parshas B'chookosye.
The shem (name) of this month [of Sivan] is 'Visadosov oo
l'tselah haMishkan'. The Ishtitser says...the shem comes our from
putting the nails in the Mishkan. To put in nails ...there has to
be absolutely no empty space. He says: receiving the Torah meansthere is not one empty space left in my heart.

The Ishbitzer says ... what is 't'oo-min', the twins. The twinsare my consciousness and my ... super-consciousness. ...
The t'o'min, the twins of Sivan, is Rachel and Leah.
 ...
Chodesh Sivan is 'yisodosov oo l'tselah haMishkan', it's
filling in all the holes. You know how many holes are between us
and the world? -- it's hearbreaking. Sivan is mamash Ruth, who
comes back to us in the name of the whole world, filling in all
the holes between us and the world.

(10) TAMUZ:

D:\BOOK4\BK6A6B\6ATEACH\T-M 48765 6JUL93 4:10p (8matches)
everybody knows that the twelve tribes, that every one of thetwelve tribes is responsible for one month of the year. Andagain, I'm just giving it to you in a nut shell, and just inhaleit. The month of Tamuz is the month of Reuven, and Av is themonth of Shimon. Everybody knows Reuven comes from "Reuven" from seeing, and Shimon comes from the word, "KeeShma Hashem", hearing.
And just open your hearts, friends, and this is like comingfrom the deepest Kabbalistic sources. Every month we have to fixsomething. This month, Tamuz, we have to fix seeing, and nextmonth, the month really of the destruction of the Temple, we haveto fix hearing.

OK, now I want to give you over a Torah from the Heilage
Ishbitser. This is so deep, friends. You know something, he says
Chodesh Tamuz....basically, the world has everything. Mamash, the
world is green, everything is ripe, nothing is missing in the
world. So the question is, how do you look at the world now, when
you have everything? This is the deepest. And again, just bear
with me, I have to throw at you some deep stuff.

You know every month is a different combination of G-d'sname. The combination of G-d's name of this month comes from thePasuk "Kal zeh a-neh-nu shoveh lee." Thatmeans, "all this is not enough." And here I want you to knowsomething so deep. How much do you need? You know there are twoways of saying, I need more than that. If I tell you, you knowsomething, I feel so bad, I have only one car, one limosine, really I need two. And I don't know, I have only one house; Ineed two houses. I only took one trip around the world, I wanttwo trips around the world. I have only one bank account inSwitzerland, you know that's a good thing to start. I need twoaccounts in Switzerland. Where's your "more"? What do you need"more"? Or maybe someone says, you know, I want to be a deeperperson. I want to serve G-d more. I want to know more, I want tolearn more, I want to do more. What is your "more"? Where isyour "more"?

So here the Ishbitser says the deepest thing. You know whatthe fixing of Tamuz is? Because I'm not receiving... I'm notreceiving anything, mamash b'chinas "Oros HaPanim"(by the Light of His Face), I'm not receiving everything, mamashwhile I'm looking at G-d, while I'm looking at Him.
I want you to know, why does the Destruction of the Temple, began in Tamuz? Because what's the Holy Temple all about? ۉ ' (All the people should be seen in the Bais HaMikdash) In Yerushalayim, you mamash look at G-d andG-d looks at you. And you know friends, at that moment when Istand by the Holy Wall, and I'm in Yeruahalayim, the way that Ireceive Life is from a so much higher source. I receive energyfrom a different place. Mamash, from such a high place, it's justfor me. Just for me.

We learned so far the whole Torah that Tamuz is Reuven, and Av is
Shimon, but I want to dare something else. This is such an
important month, right. Tamuz and Av. I want to say a gevaldt
Torah. Tamuz is the month of Rochel. Because when Yaakov married
Rochel, he mamash saw her. Leah is V'einei Leah rachos (theeyes of Leah were teary) Mamash. She couldn't see because shehad so much tears in her eyes. And Yaakov didn't even see Leahwhen he married her. And the Meshiach is mamash coming from Leah. I want to bless you that "Asher banu es BaisHashem" (The two of them will build the House of G-d). Rochel andLeah, I want to bless you that you should build the House ofIsrael, with seeing and with hearing.

39) (p21): The fixing of Tamuz is seeing, the fixing of Av is
hearing. "Because the Meshiach is coming, it's not the seeing,
even of Moshe Rabbenu seeing Eretz Yisrael. It's mamash {the
Shema}...it is so deep that I can only hear it with closed
eyes...because I want to hear that which cannot be seen. I'd like
to hear the music of the Levites up there.

67) "Tamuz, it's not so dark yet. Because we can still see.
{Because, the fixing of Tamuz is seeing.} Av, the fixing is
hearing. Because Av is so dark, that the only way we recognize
each other is by hearing. But gevaldt, are we holding hands when
we hear a friend.

What's a	nudnick? A nudnick is someone who says the same thingone hundred times. Let me ask you something. You mean for fortydays I'm sitting there and asking G-d for forgiveness? To ask G-dfor forgiveness takes one second. Let me tell you something. Ifall the Tshuva of Elul would be just to ask G-d for forgivenessfor my sins, believe me, G-d heard you. I said, "Master of theWorld, forgive me." That's it. It takes one second. Naturally,if you like, if you talk to yourself like a nudnick... Somepeople talk about the same thing for a hundred years. Can'tchange the subject, right. So for them, Elul is really mamashdoing tshuvah.
