EXCERPTS FROM M2:

"The higher it gets, the less people there are." (M2, p1)

"Anytthing good and holy which will happen to me during thewhole year is just a reflection of Rosh HaShanna, Yom Kippur,Sukkot and Simchat Torah." (M2, p1)

"This whole month [of MarCheshvan] we re-daven all theprayers of Rosh HaShanna--Yom Kippur. Shabbos Bereshit is,mamash, Rosh HaShanna. [Shabbos] Noah is Yom Kippur, becuase, like the mabul purified the world, 'lifnei h' tithavu', so Noachis like Yom Kippur. And [Shabbos] Lech Lecha is like going to theSuccah. And Vayera -- Avraham and Yitzak 'vayelech shneihemyachdav', they walked together. How do you think they walked? Like soldiers? They were dancing Simchat Torah. (M2, pp1-2)
.a1

"The mabul (flood) began this month [of MarCheshvan]. Thatmeans all the gates of heaven are open and everything is comingdown. There are two ways of handling it when it is raining. Youcan lock yourself in a room, or if you're a neshama person you cansay, "Who cares? So I'll get wet." This is the month, if youdon't mind getting wet a little bit, H====== opens all the gates."(M2 p2)

"The Kozhnizer Maggid...said that unless...you areconcentrating on "Atah honen da'at..." [[Siddur, Amidah]] and also"v'ahava raba" [[Siddur, prior to Shema]], then the Tora you arelearning doesn't get into your head." (M2, p2)

"Every world of the Torah is so precious." (M2, p2)

M2, p3: "Avraham had to force himself, mamash, out ofpaganism. But Yitzach was the first Jew to do what was mostnatural -- to be a Jew. He was born a Yid and as a Yid he's,mamash, like water. The greatest simcha in the world is when youcan be...natural and simply be yourself.....What happens to usafter Rosh Hashanna--Yom Kippur--Sukkot is not that we have morestrength to force ourselves to be frum, to be holy. Hopefullywhat happens is that we are returning to our original nature. Sowhat we do now during Cheshvan, MarCheshvan, which is basicallythe month of water, of rain, the month of the mabul [flood] is topray, "Ribbonu shel Olam, please let me be my normal self again." I have a very deep feeling that Yiddishkeit hasn't taken over theHoly Land yeet because our Holy Land wants Simchat Bet Hoashoeva,it wants yidden who can teach us how to be natural Jews, back tonature, and the yidden who teach us are all a little bitforced..."

M2, pp3-4: "I once heard that the old Lubavitcher Rebbe, theMorasha, was telling the last Lubavich Rebbe, before thisone...when he was a little boy, he was going for a walk with him"'All those great rabbis, how did they become so big?'...'Theytreasured minutes.'...If I love someone the most, I'm ready tomeet that person for one minute, because it's so precious."

M2,p4: "Rain is on the level of "Shivtei k'mayim libech" ,pourout your hearts [in prayer] like water".

M2p4: "The whole state of affairs after the tree of knowlege isunnatural. It's unnatural for woman to have pain becausechildbirth is the greatest thing in the world, it should be thegreatest joy."

M2p4: "The whole Yom Tov of Massiach...is not only that Massiachis coming, the biggest Yom Tov is that we didn't give up. Andanybody who isn't giving up on himself, on the world, is tasting alittle bit of the coming of Massiach."

M2p3: "There's a...midrash that two people walked into the BetMidresh. One sees all these thousands and thousands of books. Hesays, 'This is crazy, I'm not going to learn all these thousandsand thousands of books.' He walks out. And the other personsays, 'All these thousands of books all start with page one, solet's learn one page, tomorrow another page, and slowly, slowly, you learn everything.

EXCERPTS FROM H1:

H1p1: The Rizhiner taught that "if you know how to sin on yourown, you know how do tsuva on your own."

H1p1: "There is a higher level of tsuva [than regretting doingwrong]...mamash, I miss G-d so much, I miss the Torah so much. Imiss being holy so much...The tschuva of coming home is that Imiss it so much I don't make any excuses, I just come back.

H1p2: "Sukkos is , giving kavod to each other...You knowon Yom Kippur, I'm standing before G-d and saying, 'G-d, I won'tdo it any more.' Which is all cute. On Sukkot I realize it isn'ttrue. I cannot promise G-d I won't do it any more. Why do I feelthe need to promise even if I know it's not true? Becauseotherwise I'll be thrown out of the house, right...I can only crymy eyes out, "Please help me not to do it any more.' That's whenI begin saying hoshanna ["please save use"]. But on Sukkos Irealize that whatever I do, the Rabbenu shel olom wants me. It'sa completly different thing."

H1p3: "The third Bet Hamikdash will be built because of YakovAvinu. Yakov is Sukkos."

** ADD TO CHILDREN:
H1p2: "There's nothing more degrading than excuses...Parents whoforce thier children to make two million excuses always cripplethem. Then there are parents who have the holiness to say, 'Youdid wrong. I'm sorry. I know you won't do that anymore. Let'stalk about something else.' These are the parents who surroundtheir children with clouds of glory.

H1p3: "The highest tsuva is on Simhat Torah. I daven with theTora without reading it...Simhat Tora is basically a children'sholiday. They don't know our Torah, they only know G-d's Torah."

H1p3: "Everybody knows that the blessing of children on Kol Nidrenight is the highest of blessings. It's the blessing of Moshe andAaron together."

H1p4: "With the blessings of Yom Kippur and Sukkos when you giveyour children back their clouds of glory, may the clouds of gloryencompass you and your family, your children, and all of Israel."
