*The Holy Samzer (Rebbe), when he looked at the candles, he lookedat the candles for 6 hours and he didn't blink.

*"Shabbas light is a fixing of Chava, because she ate theTree of Knowlege -- so the woman has to -- it's one of her fixings-- Chanukah is a fixing for all Israel, not only for the woman --the women should do it also -- "

The Chanukah rebellion began when Yehudit, daughter of the HighPriest, was to get married. The Hellenized Syrians had decreedthat each bride was to be given first on her wedding night to thesoldiers -- she tore off clothes and revealed herself dressed inarmour, with a sword -- she said, my brothers are afraid, but I amnot -- when Yehuda Macabi heard this, they quickly dressed inarmour, came and massacred the Greek soldiers who were coming toget her -- that began the Chanukah rebellion

"The depth of Chanukah is that we're mamash not afraid --
not 'not afraid' ...within the limits of nature -- we're notafraid of mamash bringing about a miracle --

The was probably one of the most heroic moments in the history; 70people [Cohenim] driving out an army of 400,000
"And the world doesn't say anything about it, 'cause it's notfor them to know."

You remember, We were learning this in the House of Love andPrayer 1000 times. How did he [Yehuda Makabi] get this armytogether? In those days it was mamash like today.

All the young people were serving in the pagan temples... YehuudaMacabi went down and asked, what would you give to restore theHoly Temple to its holy ____ place? ... "all the so-called pagankids [said] 'We mamash would give our lives'

It's crazy, It's mamash like today. He didn't get an army fromthe kids who were frum.
He took them out from Greek culture -- put out a culture in thedarkness --
He had no Sukkah -- You know how much non-fear they had --

I heard this from two Rebbes -- it's an old
Old Redomsker Torah, it's also an old Alexander Torah. So whenyou hear two rebbes saying the same coming from a higher place --

It most probably comes from the Seer of Lublin

The Alexander in the last year in

G-d does not perform a miracle unless you're mamash

Everybody's asking, why do we not mamsh celebrate the War -- theWar was the greatest miracle in the world --
The Cohenim coming back -- they see the light is only lasting forone night -- they see it mamash won't last --

The Miraglim... our ownershi

"The way you look at eretz Israel, that's the way you look atevery Jew."

"In eretz Israel, why is Hanukah Sholam Beits

First Temple is Avrham, seond is Yitzak, Third is Yakov Avinu --

If a person is shalom beits, then you mamash have light for thewhole world.

R. Nachman says, the real fixing of the Spies is Hanukah....You're only permitted to look at the light.

There is a kind of beauty which light has, which nobody else has.
Sometimes a person may not be so beautiful physically, but they'reshining.

Hanukah is the only miracle which ahppened in eretz Israel, inYerushalim.

What is beauty is all about -- beauty is, it's so beautiful, Iwant to have it -- the Miraglim made it less beautiful to us, sowe don't want to have it --

The worst thing in the world is when you think you knoweverything. The Greeks think they know everything.

The Tree of Knowlege knows only good and bad. The Tree of Lifedoens't know about beautiful.

When we do something wrong, first we become a little bit dirty, seondly we stop being beautiful.

On Yom Kippur G-d gives us back the purity of ____ becoming cleanagain; but beautifuls is for Hanukah.

You can learn the whole Talmud by heart, but if there's no lightbehind it, it's nothing. Hanukah is just one page.
