"Throughout the 1987-1993 Palestinian uprising known as theintifada, Israeli troops were able to open fire on stone-throwingPalestinians without fear of return fire."

COMMENT: True enough. Hadn't quite thought of it that way. Really wasn't terribly sporting of us.
On the other hand, we did always let them get in the firstvolley, and they did usually accept a 10:1 or better advantage innumbers, and they did get to pick the time and place of the match, without prior notification; and too, stones can cause brainconcussion, coma, and death; it's rather a popular sequencenowadays in many newly-religious Islamic states.

ANALYSIS: Just new polish on the old Goliath-&-David shtick.

"Israel retains ultimate control over their lives."

COMMENT: Actually that's the Hatchetmen who do that. Israelretains ultimate control over their water rights, export permits, and such.
ANALYSIS: Again, this is pseudo-Marxist pseudo-anti-colonialistromanticism; a facistic subsumtion of personal freedom undernational independence. It's presupposed that the people of anyidentifiable or arbitarily defined ethnic or pseudo-ethnicgrouping will have maximum personal freedom in an idependentstate led by a person or persons of that ethnic/pseudo-ethnic
 group.

"buffer zones ... in which Palestinian policemnewould not be ableto penetrate bearing arms even though the zone falls under thePalestinian Authority's control."

COMMENT: An interesting argument. Makes it sound as if werefused to allow the quarterback to stand at the line ofscrimmage.
Yes, that's not ordinarily done between sovereign states -- except with a mutuallly demilitarized zone. But the writerassumes that the PA is a sovereign state, rather than a cluster ofmunicipal autonomies.
A bit like a bystander finding a man trying to pull his armfrom a tiger's mouth, and reproaching him for selfishness.
Fact is, whatever we give up, the goyim will say we're stillacting like selfish Jews.
