I met Sue Fishkoff for a few moments a few years ago, when shestopped by Meor Modi'in to do a story. She met a number ofexceptional people there, and seemed geuinely drawn to what isbest in the community. She said she would not write harshly ofthe community, and more than kept her word.

That said: her subsequent experience seems to have been mostly inthe USA; and this is the 2nd article that one could argue iswritten with a pro-peace-process slant. She writesprofessionally, and well, and develops her point with consistencyand strength.	But the slant is there.

There are few phrases to which one could take exception -- eg "theorganizers [ie, 7 persons constituting themselves 'Orthodox WestSiders for Peace'] all agree on one point: it is not theirbusiness to dictate policy to the Israeli government." Trueenough; it was Bush & Baker's business, but nowadays not even theIsraeli electorate can get into it.

Incidentally, this entire article is built around postulatinga (false) political equivalence between 1000 opponents and 7proponents of the Rabin/Peres 'piece process'.

"Unlike recent anti-government demonstrations by groups such asthe World Committee for Israel..."
l2
They [or more precisely it, since the writer seems to haveused a rhetorical plural] ain't 'anti-government'; they'reanti-Rabin/Peres and pro-Israel.

l1
"But where does one draw the line between appropriate criticismand inappropriate political interference?"
l2
Somewhere in the New Executive Office Building.
l3
Cf. my forthcoming essay: "Strobe Talbott: Threat orMenace?"

The easiest way to get a false answer is to start with afalse dichotomy.

The article seems to have been chopped off to fit the page.
