REPEAT BUT UPDFATED LISTING OF SO UNIVERSAL WORSHIP TAPES
[ Apparently these tapes were included in a package sent to mailorder students in the School of Universal Worship; although theymay have been in a package sent to Co-ordinators(?) [ie, notLeadaers (=Reresentatives), but whatever ranks under same -- anauthorized nudnik, not authorized to teach. Rinatya Nachman heldthat position in Israel for many years, by appointment from Atumo'Kane in 1988 or thereabouts; in about Spring 94, I think it was,she gave up on trying to get us to do anything. Rinatya Nachman(Tajali Hauschild), 24 HaShalom, Rosh Pina 12000 Israel; Tel: 972--6--693-1159.

All rights reserved (circle-C, circle-p) Sufi Order, 1988, LebanonSprings N&

PURIFICATION BREATHS: From Abode(?) 70s; Sold in the 70s by SufiOrder (New Lebanon or Lebanon Springs, as I recall); apparently nolonger sold by the SO. INPUT (sa 3/99) =pvka7xpr.txt
I no longer have an original copy, so can't give label deails.

TO#104: Purification Practices
Light blue over dark blue label; printed; "(c)(p) 1988 Sufi Order,1 Main Street, Lebanon Springs NY 12114"

	About 1.5 hours.
Seminar/Retreat tape. Apparently Abode, when PVK was livingthere, maybe up on the retreat hill; and his children were young..

This tape seems far less detailed on the first three breaths;but much more detailed on the Air breath. It would say that thefirst tape was a basic introduction, and this tape is, as onewould expect from something distributed by the School of UniversalWorship to candidates, more advanced; probably aimed at initiates.
Includes much Zirat and Healing information.

TO#133 -- Beauty of the Zikr
---------------------------------------------------------------
TO#136 -- Initiation
---------------------------------------------------------------
There were 3 other tapes in that set; I do not now have copies.

I also find a tape from RN, Women in Religion, Chapter XIX. Womanspeaker; Suria Lees, I think

TAPES FROM SO, USA NO, SEATTLE
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED COPYRIGHT 1992 SO, POB 30065, Seattle WA 98103
Apparently all 90-minute tapes, from Seminars/Retreats, taped from60-minute classes, with introductory music cut off.
Although the label states a 1992 copyright, I think that mustmean the SO NO USA uses old labels; some of the remarks on tapeindicate these are recent, maybe 1996.
All tapes are, I assume, English only.
SO NO USA does not state Sources.
I may have reversed Items #44 (Tape of the Month) and #84 (TapeAlbum); one is numbered 1-12, 't'other's numbered 140--145.

ITEM ID#44: TAPE ALBUM: (Printed labels): boxed, $84 for 2

TAPE-OF-THE-MONTH SELECTIONS: (6 for US$ 42)
SERIES ID#44: TAPE OF THE MONTH
I obtained 6 of these, out of the total 12 available.
I presently have 5 of those with me. Those are:

Tape #140: Side A complete, cut off in mid-sentence, apparentlyresumes without losing a beat on Side B, which is short.
140: A Pilgrim on the Planet
Topic: Wazifas. No practices, theoretic remarks.
Some Agadah, good enough to excerpt. (Eg, as I recall: 'Youdon't get high by doing wazifas, you have to get high to dowazifas."
Should be of importance to those teaching wazifas; someremarks I had not heard hitherto.
Starts with Ya Zahir; then goes on to a number of uncommonwazifas; I have not noted the tape. Should be transcribed.

141: Bringers of Light

142: Meditation on the Light of Dawn

143: Calling upon the Qualities

144: The Elements on the Breath

145: That which Transpires.

#1: Dimensions of LIght
This is taken from a Retreat, apparently first announced as arepresentatives retreat, but then expanded to a general retreat. This is apparently the first tape from that retreat. It startswith basic breathing practices, but does not go in detail intopurification breaths, although it has some points about them. Probably at the Abode; there is rain in the background. It doesnot deal very much with light practices.
Aziza Scott leads an interlude, basic practice with thewazifas specified by PVK at that session.
	Side A full; Side B about 2/3.
I would say it is 1994 or later, since PVK takes for grantedthat the notion of focussing on one's problems.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

#2: Pre-existence
Tape seems to start a bit after the Session started.
Side A full (45 minutes); Side B about 20 minutes.
	Practices of light, especially charghall.
Seem to be a relatively advanced class; PVK presupposes thateveryone knows the mechanics of charghall; and of other exercises.
	Not explicitly about 'pre-existence'.
I guess it was within the last few years; but I forget nowwhy I thought so.
PVK notes clearly that the reason for pairing wazifas is tocounter the tendency to develop the shadow of the wazifa one isusing.
Uses the notion of 'confecting' one's aura.
---------------------------------------------------------------

#3: The Dhikr
#4: Early Morning Meditation
#5: Samadhi States
#6: Celestial Counterpart
#7: Dikr of Light
#8: Realizing our Potential
#9: Manifestations of Light and Sound
#10: Love, Divine Nostalgia
#11: The Awakening of G_d
#12: The Quest for Splendour.

No further information is given about these tapes.
That is: no Source noted.
I can't tell brand, type, nor length from the cases.

I would guess that these titles are more or less slapped on by theSO to whichever PVK lectures they selected.

Listings from tapes in my collection, presently housed with AlifaSadya, MOshav Meor Modi'in, Israel:

SO 1986, Lebanon Springs:

1985: Lebanon Springs:
	TO 131 -- Our Life's Path
TO 132 -- Realms of LIght

1982: From a seminar, Abode, spring. I think those were a classthat I missed:
#18, #19.
------------------------------------------------------------
Retreat, 8/3/83: (Ie, August 3): #6

Seminar 1/25/84: Healing with Light.
I think that would be a Boston seminar.

Omega Press lists only 2 PVK books for 1997: The Way of the TheDervish, and That Which Transpires. Apparently Counseling &Spirituality is now out of print.

The CD / cassette of HIK songs is again noted as apparently havingbeen recorded too high; again there's a hope that it will be remastered to establish correct pitch.

H&W Summer/Fall 1996

Remarks by PVK at Dachau, 6/30/96, Commemorating NIK, z'lb.
Includes remarks about PVK's activity in WWII in the British Navy, and NIK's activity with British Intelligence. Some of theseremarks may not previously have been published.
Notes that PVK served on a mine-sweeper, which suffered heavycasualties. States that at one time NIK may have been on thefront-line, sending false intelligence known to be intercepted bythe Germans.

PVK Q&A: ("Talking with Pir Vilayat")
Many typos; probably received direct by E-mail from PVK, and notproof-read.

Includes: Remarks on Buddhism and Sufism: [I excerpt, withedit:] Buddhism at first seems complementary if not contradictoryto Sufism. To say [in Buddhism] 'this becoming does not lead tothe non-become' "seems to be a denial of what is gained byexistence." [In contrast, in Sufism one has] Rumi: 'tongiht theunteemed stars give birth to the life eternal', and Jami 'theephemeral will become the eternal', and HIK 'the heavens are[b]uilt in man'.
[The following is a verbatim quote, completing PVK's remark]:
"Surely there must be some feedback from the existential realm, updating the programming of the universe! It was the study of thespheres in Sufism that point out that indeed the feedback reachesthe Lahut state. But for there to be change, there must be achangeless core that consternates our finite mind's conception oftime. Besides looking further into Buddhism there is referenceto 'extra-samsaric' (that is peri-existential) from therepetitative recycling of our being. So finally, as we divedeeper, we find that here Buddish and Sufism meet."

[On questioning whether a practice 'works']:
[excerpt]: "Higlighting a quality deeply buried in the psyche, inorder to 'fix' a lacuna or defect, may prove counterproductive;rather, one needs a practice that leads to clarifying what [it] is[in] one's outlook on one's life that blocks that quality.
"Besides, one cannot force progress. Our standards areexacting. Like at University, there are drop-outs. It is not foreveyrone. On the other hand, the students may require of theprofessors to upgrade their style to nurture them better."

Length not stated; sources not stated:

I don't identify these titles with those of tapes distributed bySO Seattle, but I have only 6 of the Tape-of-the-month's.

The French MAC transcription consists of only 2 documents:
The complete text is: !Retrait
The introduction is: !L'Avent
The exclamation point is part of the 8-character title of each doc
Input wp program is not stated; that is at least helpful for bestconversion.

As noted, I ran a Modem-Massage conversion to Einstein via ASCII,but since the European characters didn't convert, the risk oferror was high.
Have not yet received a PC version; nor yet a PC-based MAC-to-PCconversion program.
Neighbor ran it with his MAC-based MAC-to-PC program; came out inan ASCII version and a supposedly Word-for-Windows version; I lack=LANGFRN.DLL , and have so far not come up with a version in whichthe European characters display.

Detailed re-entry of Hans Sachs/Vayu videotape of Bach B-MinorMass.
J.S. Bach, B-Minor Mass, PVK and Ophiel van Leer, Zenith CampChoir, Disentis 1995; camp price 90 DM, 74SF; Performance inDisentis 22.7.1995; filmed and assembled by Hans Sachs, SimbaWildlife Services, c/o Director, Box 973, Palapye Botswana;Copyright (circle-C) Zenith Institute, CH-6853 Ligornetto; title: Ein Traum vird wahr; ca. 140 min., VHS-PAL, cover price DM95.

Cassette labeled and disributed by Ralph Vayu Dobberke, u.d.Weinbergen 6, 37213 Witzenhausen; Tel: 05542/72180; MedienversandDobberke.

SUMMARY AND EVALUATION:
As Freida Aaron (Beartrack) once said at New Buffalo: Nositzfleish.
Some full face shots of PVK, which are priceless. More sideshots. But mostly, camera pans to choir. Small breaks incontinuity of music, presumably from editting out camera-shifts. The photographer kept moving around during the concert.
Sound quality not nearly as good as the audio tapes. Mic wasonly on the camera, so in a few cases one gets an unrepresentativepositioning.
A good deal of "atmosphere" photography, but not includingPVK rehearals.
In short: An adequate souvenir video, but not up to therequirements of a video of a complete piece of music; and, despitesome priceless footage -- maybe about 10 minutes or so -- adisappointing to those who want to see just how PVK interpretedthe Bach B-Minor.
The video does, of course, indicate which movements PVKconducted, viz: (1) Kyrie Eleison; (2) Christe Eleison; (3) KyrieEleision; (4) Gloira in Excelsis Deo; (5) Et in Terra Pax; (7)Gratias Agimus Tibi; / SYMBOLUM NICENUM (Credo): (1) Credo inUnum Deum; (4) Et Incarnatus Est; (5) Crucifixus; (6) EtResurexit/ OSANA, BENEDICTUS, AGNUS DEI, DONNA NOBIS PACEM:
(1, 3) Osana in Excelsis; (3) Osana (reprise); (4) Agnus Dei; (5),Dona Nobis Pacem.

Others notes: My tape seemed to have defect on the sprocket, Ithink caused by my damaging the tape; consequence was a cyclicaljiggle in the frames -- as if, on an old TV, one needed toreadjust the horizontal hold -- though that did not impact theaudio.
I played much of the tape by Anna Mathis; for some reason itplayed fast on my VCR; as if it was recorded fastcopy.
EG says my system is PAL, and the tape must be NTSC, recorded atdouble or (less likely) triple speed.
Could re-play it on another play.
It is apparently in black-and-white. The copy she sent mewas recorded over a video with medical info.
She shot entiretly from the high pulpit, which is on theaudience side of the conductor, at the left side of the pews. Soshe has few shots of PVK's face, as far as I noticed, though shedoes sometimes zoom in. Also, she tends to pan to the audience.
The fact is, unless you show PVK's face, I think you missmost of what he conveys by conducting.
Now I assume she shot continually, and so got all the music, with adequate quality.
