| The scene of the real-life chess battle is one of my favourite parts of the book. It was so amazing! So I drew Harry, Ron and Hermione ready to play. I know the book doesn't say anything about wearing special chess-style clothes, but I thought they would look really cool this way ^_^ This is one of my favourite drawings, hope you like it too. | This month's topic is perfect! ^^ I wanted to do a comemorative pic of the four champions, especially Cedric, so here it is, with all the Pearl Harbor-y glowing and noble-looking profiles. The glow was what took the longest on this pic--I had to cut out each Champ and paste them on a separate layer so that I could use the layer's glow option. @_@;; Killer, I tell ya... Errm, the background was just me going crazy with all the fun filters in Photoshop. I started with a bunch of gradients, then used "Sand" to get that grainy effet, then took a small Airbrush and drew in all those swirly designs. The photo flare I added to draw attention to the title and to kind of give a source to all the glowing they're doing. | Another "photo" to add to Harry's album of wonderful memories in the magical world. =D I did this a couple of months ago during Latin class, and it's not directly related to The Prisoner of Azkaban, but if everyone hadn't been after Sirius and if Remus hadn't been found out to be a werewolf, well... maybe these four could have had a moment to take this comfy shot. ^__^; Oh well. | First submission, I'm so excited! :) Considering this is a fairytale month, I decided to do my pic on one of my favorites- Puss in Boots. This is the scene where the farmer left his three sons with their inheritance- one got to keep the family home, the other got to tend the fields, and the third was given the farmer's cat, later to give him more luck than he would have dreamed possible. | One of the main themes I've heard 'The Order of the Phoenix' will center on is first love, and I've sort of explored with that theme in this collage. These are my opinions on how the couples will turn out to be; of course, Hermione and Ron, and for Harry...well, though I like Cho Chang lots and lots (she's so pretty...*sigh*) I'm guessing that J.K. Rowling will have our hero and Ginny hook up, which I don't mind, since she was madly in love with him practically ever since the beginning.... T_T; Ah... | I originally planned to draw out Lupin's "moon" boggart, but decided upon Seamus' banshee because, like the moon, it wasn't what it appeared to be. The banshee is a celtic folklore ghost which attaches herself to a family or family member. When someone in that family passes on, the banshee acknowledges it by shrieking or wailing- sometimes for days. Home-grown Irish, Seamus wouldn't be afraid of the banshee herself, but what might have happened to have her cry. | Ah! It's about time, a topic of The Marauders! :) And here I was, one of their biggest fans, unable to draw a dern thing about them... hmm! There didn't seem to be enuff time in the month to get a pic done, in the end I ended up coloring a pic I already had on the comp, but never bothered to stick up anywhere ^_^ This is Hogwarts Grad, a quick group shot which unfortunately doesn't include Peter :( I'll make it up to him later, hehe! I don't know if every school does this, but ours always has class favorites that the school chooses from the senior class like "most artistic" or "longest friendship", etc. I have no idea when MWPP graduated, so I just took a stab with 1978. After much debating, I finally settled on the following: James and Lily as the Scarecrow and Dorothy, Sirius as the Phantom of the Opera, and Remus as the Big Bad Wolf.
