Area 51 rom and emu info for psx
here we bring you about playstation and only playstation emulators and roms i tell you how to get em working perfectly so take some notes
Playstation emulator sounds great dont it, well it is but they can be so hard to get working, so hard were most people will just give up. well thats what im for, i will tell you how to get them fricking things working and working to there fullest. so we will start off by down loading a emulator, emulators are not hard to find its the roms and iso that are hard to find, so we will download epsxe my personal favorit we can get this
at
www.ngemu.com, along with meny other emulators and accessories. epsxe is a small download if i remember it was like 700 or 800 kb now we have our emulator. but its far from working still wen you try to open it it will ask you to configure it and it will say something about you not haveing the bio or the scph1001.bin file now we have to hunt down a scph1001.bin these are real rare files because they are ileagal but who i repeat who is gona know that you downloaded it, but if you still want to stay clean they are leagal if you have a playstation but anyway you can get the scph1001.bin aka
the bio file at
www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/mmx/340/emulator/psx.htm
now that you got that we want to copy the scph1001.bin file to the folder that say bio
in the epsxe folder. o yaa make sure you extract the epsxe zip. ok now we try to configure the epsxe after we put the scph1001.bin in the bio folder so we go in to the
epsxe folder and we double click the little playstation controller, now go to config then
go to wizard guide and start to configure. pick any thing for the sound, anything for the cdrom, pick the scph1001.bin for the bio, and now we see if you got the gpu plugin if you dont you can download one real quick at
www.ngemu.com/psx/plugins.php?page=gpu and once there download the petes gpu its the best one you can get. once you have it put all the file in it in the plugins folder in the epsxe folder now go configure it again and this time sellect the gpupeteD3D.dll for
your gpu plugin and now your psx emu should work so to make it work put a playstation disk in your hard drive and double click the little playstation controller
then go in to file then go to cdrom then just wait it may take a few minutes so dont get worried now time to configure the gpu go back to config then go to video then go to config and set the caching to dynamic chek the use frame rate limit and put the off screen drawings to standard now your psx emu should be runing at the right speed there wont be as meny gliches and you will be able to see the battle menu in final fantasy games well thats about it if you have any more questions feel free to email me
i love to help people out on these problems

PS i dont know were to get iso's but i wote a part on iso buster so you can make your
own iso's by copying a playstation disk to your hard drive but warning bfor you get to excited a game like final fantasy 9 takes up over two and a half gb but a game like hot shots golf 2 takes up over 200 mb so for you people who dont have hard drive space tuff luck :(
www.ngemu.com/psx

this should be the only three sites you will need to get started
          ISObuster
ISO BUSTER your probably saying what the fudge is a ISOBUSTER unless you read th PS in my last article. but for you who havent i will tell you first what is a ISO, a iso is like a rom for systems that uses disks insted of cartridge so a playstation emu uses iso's. but these are imposible to find and even if you did find one, it would take forever to down load unless you have a cable modem, but still it would be much easier to make your own. but to do that we need thing

called isobuster, this thing can bust out a iso from a playstation disk in about 10 minutes, and its free and its only 1,625 kb
not bad. so that means you can go to the video store rent a game for $3 and copy it but that is illeagal so if you dont want to break any copyright laws only copy games you own. i personaly dont like to break these laws because its like a $200,000 fee
or 3 years in jail at least thats for vhs tapes, im not sure about video games its probably a bigger fine and longer jail time.
but anyway now that i warned you to only copy your own game if you dont want to take a risk you can get this product at
www.isobuster.com . after you down load it extract all the files in it then install it, and wen your done open it up, put a playstation game in, click refresh go to the cd icon in the little branch on the side right click on it then go to extract cd image then go to raw(`.bin,`iso,). and make sure that wen you name it you have a .bin at the end, example final fantasy 9
disk one name it ff_d1.bin or final_fantasy_9_disk1.bin. if you dont it wont work but after that wait 10 15 minutes and you got yourself a iso. now to use it go in to your playstation emulator click file, click iso, browse for it, open it up, then play,
note that iso's run a lot faster than the cd's do, so make sure that you have the fps limit checked off in your gpu config.
well thats about it have fun.
