| PATCHING PROBLEMS hi!!! your explanation on how to run the epsxe emulator was perfect! I did everything you told us to, but i got this "patching game... not found" as the last thing written on that dos windowthat opens when we double click on the ps joystick icon. I black full screen.. nothing happens.. i use windows xp.. is there something i can do? thanks in advance :)))))) du yo thanks for visiting my site, and im glad you liked my article. It sounds like your runing a game that need a patch patches dont work on epsxe 140 so far they only work on epsxe 150 I will be puting up a epsxe help file om my downloads page that explains a lot about patching games and eny other problems you may have with epsxe but till then i will just give you th patching part now this is what it says starting with epsxe 1.5.0, epsxe comes with a option to apply ppf patchesto your game on the fly, as already seen in pete's great cd plugin. Ngemu made a collection of important ppf files for you to download, but searching the web you should find plenty more. Useing them is a bit more difficult, but easy once you got the system, and understandable for everyone who follows the step-by-step instructions below: 1. download (and possibly unzip) the ppf patch EXACTLY for the game you'd like to patch. That means that you won't be able to use a ppf patch for FF9 german with your italian version ! Also keep in mind some games (like gran turismo) have two versions 2. copy the file into /patches sub-directory in your epsxe directory 3. look on the cd you want to use... you'll find a file whose name is like SLES*,SCES* or SLUS*. Copy that name and rename the ppf file from your /patches directory to exactly the same name (also in uppercase ! ) 4. you,er done, the next time you run that game epsxe will add the patch on the fly ! thats it i will be putting up some ppf patches soon but till then you can get them at www.ngemu.com or you can search the web with a search engine like yahoo well hope that helped Sam area 51 staff member and the only staff member |
