| Final Fantasy XI Online UPDATE One of the first games to take full advantage of sony's broad band modem is square's finale fantasy XI: Online. ya incase you havent heard FFXI is fully online you you cant play it anyway else, witch means that the modem will probably be packaged with the game. this will be a huge move for square some people are upset by squares move to online gameplay but its something diffrent from the meny single player games we are so used to. FFXI offers a world inhabited by players from around the world ,you can exchang items, complete quests together, and of course chat. you can create you characters with a whole bunch of option like job classes, race, etc. the game is set on the planet Vana'diel, a beautiful lively planet. so far square released five Vana'diel races Hume, Elvyn, and taru taru mithra galka. the hume arehumanoids they live in the bastook mining district where they mine mythril metals, the taru taru look like koala bears they live in the capital city of windas a academic mecca for science and magic, the taru taru are kind easy going race but there superior knoledge and intellect make them a worthy friend or foe. the elvyn are swordsmen, tall with pointed ears they kinda look a little like dr spock, they guard a huge fortressin the sandovia region. the galka are huge broad sholderd tuff dudes that live in bastook and they all look a little different. the mithra are kinda like the tree huging hippies of the game. they live in windurst dont like technology and love the planet, only the female mithra come out and male mithra are real rare they have pointed ears a tail lot of hair kinda look like the cats from the broadway play cats.in FFXI you can create a party of 6 or create a biggerteam by combining 3 partys makeing a group of 18. this will be important since most monsters will be almost impossible alone. square is still releasing more details but, so far we know you will need a high speed modem, and you willhave to join the playonline website, a mouse and keyboard will be handy to. we will keep you posted on this awsome looking game |
