A SELECTION OF PICTURES AND DRAWINGS BY FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA

Lorca was an avid drawer. Many of his drawings were done on letters to friends, or in books he dedicated to friends. The high point of his artistic career was probably the exhibition of a collection of his drawings at the Dalmau Galleries, Barcelona, in June-July 1927, arranged by a group of Salvador Dalí's avant-garde friends (Sebastià Gasch and Lluis Montanyà and other editors of the L'amic de les arts journal. They even projected the publication of a book of Lorca's drawings with a foreword by Gasch and an epilogue by Dalí, but this never came to fruition.
Here are some of the poet's drawings done at various stages of his life.

The page is under construction. The drawings will be re-ordered, dated, and explained in the near future.
