A project that initially expolored a wide variety of religious extremism in particular to fanatiscm that leads to cult mass suicides. This developed into a series of works that explored the events of the Jonestown massacre, in which 916 cultists took their own lives. The works use a large amount of visual language to refer to the event and the larger tragedy. 916 plastic cups are used, each labelled with the name of an individual victim with their date of birth and their unified date of death. The cups are partially filled with a liquid to represent the poison laced Kool-aid which they all consumed to lead to their deaths. The cups represent the throwaway nature their lives seem to have, whilst also visually reminding us of rows of gravestones dedicated to each of the victims
