Current Volunteer Opportunities

 International Neighborhood Coffee Hour- The International Neighborhood Coffee Hour is looking for volunteers to meet with newcomers to the Columbus area to provide information about resources including day care, ESL instruction, and meeting new people.  The coffee hour is for women only so only female volunteers are needed.  The coffee hour is every Wednesday from 9:15am to 11:30am at the University Baptist Church.  If you are interested, contact Natalie Lima at [email protected] or www.inchcolumbus.org


Community Refugee and Immigration Services- CRIS is looking for volunteers for their "English for Speakers of Other Languages" classes.  Volunteers will assist CRIS staff in tutoring by helping with reading, writing and speaking.  No prior experience is required.  Volunteers are asked to serve a minimum of 1 day a week for 8 weeks.  Many different times, days of the week, and locations are available.  Contact Colleen at [email protected] for more information or to set up an interview.
