While I was in the nearest Gamestop store this weekend, reserving a copy of the Unreal Tournament 2004 Special DVD Edition just to be sure I'll be able to get it, I did some looking through the bargain bins. I bought a used copy of the PS1 classic Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for a whopping $5. I also bought the equally brilliant Vagrant Story , which I had been looking for for a long time. I am working on getting back all the great PS1 games that I unfortunately had to trade in to get the PS2 at its launch. With prices so low on PS1 games now, it is easy to get most of the games back.

In other news, I still haven't updated my portfolio page like I keep saying I will, but I promise I will soon. I have some great art pieces that I would like to show.

Finally, I have fantastic news from the latest issue of OPM (Official PlayStation Magazine). Two great games, well games I thought were great, are getting amazing looking sequels. Those games are The Getaway and Sly Cooper. The Getaway 2 will be coming out sometime in the Fall, but no release date was given for Sly 2: Band of Thieves , I'd guess the Fall for it as well. You can guarantee that both games will be hitting my MWL when definite release dates are confirmed.

I have been experimenting a little with different things in an effort to make my site look better and better. The first of these additions is a small title graphic bar that I have inserted onto each page. I put those in mainly to help page viewers keep track of what page they are on, and also because I think it makes the site look a bit nicer. Please send me some feedback on how the site is coming along, suggestions are always welcomed.

Next on my list of site upgrades and additions is to enhance my portfolio page, like I said I would on Monday, in both look and content. There are only four pieces of my work up as of now, I have a lot more to add to that. I am also planning on adding a couple new sections to the site: Book Collection and DVD Collection. I haven't decided whether or not I'll add those pages yet, if I do it will be relatively soon. Other than those minor improvements I don't have anything else in mind to work on. I am thinking about creating a brand new banner since the current one is really basic, but I'm not sure. Once I finish up the other stuff I already talked about, I'm sure other ideas will pop into my head. Until then, take a look around and enjoy.

Oh, I almost forgot something. I completed Legacy of Kain: Defiance today. I am glad that the game finally had some closure to it, unlike all the other LoK games that ended with cliffhangers every time. Defiance is one of the best games in the series, if not the best, other than the original game and the first Soul Reaver. If it weren't for one of the worst cameras in a game, Defiance could have really been great. I also just finished up Metroid: Zero Mission. That is a great game too, but I am a bit disappointed with its length. I mean it took me only like four or five hours to beat, I only got 67% completion though so I'll go through it again some time to try and find all the items and stuff. And the original Metroid is now playable which is pretty cool and makes up some for the lack of game length. Two great games down, now on to like five or six other games that I have yet to finish.

I got a new scanner this weekend, so expect some updates to my portfolio section real soon. I also bought Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA on Saturday, it is a superb game. I have been playing it almost nonstop since I got it, thus it has made my "current favorites" list found on the Favorite Games page.

In site construction news, the News Archives page (link on top navbar), which up to this point hasn't been available, is now up. All of my news postings from the month of February can be found there if you missed any of them or if you're just interested in checking them out.
