The Dart Boat Company
...Builder of Mahogany Runabouts that was located on Summit Street in Toledo, Ohio from 1928 through 1931.  We are always looking for any information on Dart Runabouts, parts, or boats for sale.  This could include pictures of existing or no longer existing boats, literature, etc.    We hope to develope a sort of Dart Runabout Registry.  Dart Runabouts built by the Indian Lake Boat Company are included as well.  Anyone wishing to contribute please contact us at the following e-mail.  The pictures on this page  include some boats found for sale on the web and contributed photos, as well as some boats we have run across in our travels.  Greavette boats built under license based on the Dart design will be documented along with the Toledo and Indian Lake boats.  The primary focus, however is the Toledo Ohio built Dart runabouts...which in every way are worthy of comparison to Hackercraft , Garwood , Chris-Craft , and other prominent builders of the era.  Please sign the guest book and check back from time to time for updates.

Several of the boats on this page are for sale, e-mail if you are looking for a Dart!   We have a variety of Dart parts and castings available (for both Indian Lake and Toledo boats), early Lyman hardware, and can reproduce any hard to find hardware.  Pattern and reference information available as well.  Services offered include casting, machining,  plating, and full restoration.  Many hard to find parts are available in reproduction also, for both Dart and Lyman and others.  Let us know of any needs you may have for your project!

If anyone who's boat appears on this site would like to have it removed, please let us know.  If your boat is not on this site, and you would like it to be, that would be great too, just send us an e-mial. Also, if you want your name to appear with your boat, please contact us.  We have many more pictures to incorporate into this site, as well as scans of original Dart literature, so keep checking back, or e-mail if you are looking for information. The Dart Literature Links is now pretty much fully functional!  This site will also update you with Toledo Antique Boat Show information.   Last Edit: 2/2009
