Bukit Nekek Semekut is one of two peaks known collectively as the Dragon's Horns, located on Pulau Tioman, an island off the eastern coast of Malaysia.  Pulau Tioman is best known as the mythical island of "Bali-hai" in the film South Pacifc, which was shot on Tioman.
The Dragon's Horns loom proudly over the tiny and charming Kampung Mukut, an idyllic seaside village on the southern tip of the island.  Legend holds that the island of Tioman is actually an ancient dragon which was prohibited by the king from visiting it's sister in Pahang.  In sorrow the dragon turned to stone and slide into the sea.

Waking Dream climbs Nekek Semekut, the more prominent of the two jungle spires.  The route is about 1200 feet tall, although the impressive and unclimbed west face looks to be perhaps 1500 to 2000 feet tall.
