More climbing piccies from Oz
Scorpion Corner (22), on the Bluffs.  I had been saving this one till I felt ready, and boy was it worth it.  Probably not too tough for 22, but what a line.  I was grinning ear to ear by the time I got to the chains.
I snuck out one morning to get the classic Arapiles shot of the sunrise and the canola fields.  This was a beautiful and peaceful spot, far away from the hustle and bustle of camp.  It would be a great place to take a girl = ).
Hard Nipples (22), an absolutely fantastic though very demanding climb on the often overlooked Kitten Wall.  This climb has a bit of everything--a committing boulder problem start, pocket pulling at the crux, and a final roof.  A guaranteed pump or your money back!
Travis on The British Beat (21) behind the Pharos.  The guidebook description reads, "From the peanut gallery opposite, this thin slab looks quite impossible."
I escape from the infamous "condemned man's cell" on Death Row (18).  This climb keeps coming at ya till the very end!
Stu's ride.  Note wombat skull.
Luke using "Tom Cruise" technique on the photogenic Pilot Error (grade 20 going on 18).  The whole route is really just one move to reach one of those huge, classic made-to-order Arapiles jugs.  It's in a really good position though.
Orestes (24).  This was the first climb I noticed on my first visit to Arapiles.  It's reputedly very easy for the grade (some say more like 22!).  I had been saving this climb till I felt ready, as I really wanted to onsight it--it was the hardest thing I had ever tried to lead.  I jumped on it the very last day of my spring break trip, but was climbing stupid and fell off on the final hand traverse.  I was pretty bummed but oh well.  That's what you get for building things up too much I guess.  Afterwards I belayed Pommie Pete on Have a Good Flight (25), just to the left.  He totally floated it (he had even downclimbed it the day before!).  I had a hangdog/flail-fest TR attempt but got shut down at the crux.
A classic shot of the awe-inspiring Taipan Wall, surely one of the most amazing cliffs in the world.  Only those climbing 25+ need apply, though.
Phil muscles his way to glory on the classic jug-haul Chain of Fools (23) at the Gallery.  Clean falls and lots of big shiny bolts make this the perfect place to push your grade.
