Rain Sincere

Contrary to what one might think, s1ncer1ty came well before I knew the Digimon cartoon even existed. The first incarnation was a roleplaying character by the name of Rain Sincere. I have been playing Rain Sincere for almost two years now in a Changeling live action roleplaying (LARP) game known as Winter's Edge.

How did her name come to be? Would you believe me if I told you it came to me in a dream? Well, even if you don't believe me, that is the reason you'll have to settle for.

Rain isn't necessarily a bad person. She has a set of morals all her own, and she's crafty and manipulative in ways that aren't always as obvious as might seem on the surface. She has her own way of doing things that to her are right. She allows me to explore both the cunning and the gentle sides of me.

Rain Sincere is an enigma, a series of subtle contradictions. Her character class, the Eshu, are meant to be taletellers. However, when confronted by an audience, Rain (and the player behind her!) chokes up. Her tales are told through writing, not through word of mouth.

s1ncer1ty and Rain Sincere are one in the same. I like to think that s1ncer1ty would be Rain's Internet presence. Perhaps, unbeknownst to the mortal shell that houses the little faerie, it truly is...

Rain's background may be found here.

Also, see the legend that created Rain.

Finally, check out the Winter's Edge website for more information on our LARP.
