History of My Hawkins Family

John David  was born to Stephen and Sarah Hawkins  (  My 5th Great Grandparents  )  March 5, 1744 in New Hampshire and died December 30, 1820.
John David married Lydia Bunker  (  My 4th Great Grandparents  )  who was born May 1, 1745 and died November 11, 1817.
Elijah was born March 27, 1771 to John David and Lydia Bunker and died October 6, 1851.
Elijah married Sarah "Sallie" Dudley (  My 3rd Great Grandparents  )  who was born February 17, 1777.  and died August 31, 1862. They were married August 23, 1793.
Jacob Eaton was born January 27, 1800 to Elijah and Sarah Dudley and died 1870-1880. Jacob Eaton's first marriage was to Eliza Scribner in Vershire Vermont on February 27, 1820. The records show that they had three children who was George Clinton Hawkins, Emaline Edes Hawkins and the third was believed to be Mary Ann Hawkins (not proven). Jacob Eaton's second marriage was to Louisa "unknown"  (  My 2nd Great Grandparents  ) .  Not much info is known about Louisa, except she was born in Conn.
James O. was born August 17, 1839 in N. H. to Jacob and Louisa Hawkins and died December 24, 1907 in Navarro County, Texas. James O. married Clarissa Shook  (  My Great Grandparents  )  April 3, 1866, in Harris County, Texas.
James Taylor Hawkins was born August 11, 1879 to James Hawkins and Clarissa Shook and died September 15, 1950. James Taylor's second wife was Noble Wilson  (  My Grandparents  ). They married December 23, 1904 in Navarro County, Texas. Noble was born August 10, 1891 in Cherokee Alabama and died in Houston, Texas in the month of January, 1964.
James O. Hawkins was the only child that is documented to Jacob and Louisa, and can be found in the household in the 1850 and 1860 Harris County, Texas Federal Census. His marriage to Clara Shook can be found in the Harris County, Texas marriage index. He and Clara can be found living next door to the Shook family in the 1880 Harris County, Texas Federal Census. James was a soldier in the civil war and can be found in the roster of company K of the 26th Regiment of the Texas Calvery. He enlisted in 1861 and served until the end of the war. (His father Jacob also entered the war later, which we do not have proof at this time) He (James O.) filed for a pension in the month of  February in the year 1900, and the application was approved in March 1900. Clarissa applied for a widows pension after James died in 1907. Her pension was approved March 21, 1908. She was living in Navarro County (1910) at this time ( pension app said living in this county over 5 yrs ) with James and wife Noble, son Redmond, daughter Clara, brother Clearence who was 17 yrs old, and nephew Wesley Ford, who was 8 yrs old. I have not found which Sister of James married a Ford. ( Wilson Children were too young to have a child 8 yrs old ).
It is our belief that James T. married Dora Goss in Falls County Texas before he married Noble. We  have the original marriage lic. of James T. Hawkins and Dora Goss in our files. The family of James T. Hawkins was living in falls county at the time of this marriage. The pension of James O. Hawkins (Father of James Taylor) proves this, as it was filed in February 1900 in Falls County. (Also we could not find another James T. Hawkins in the 1900 census). We also believe that Wesley Ford was probably a nephew from the marriage to Dora as we have not found anything that would make us believe that he was from Hawkins or Wilson family marriages.
