| What greater gift could there ever be, Then the gift of life, to grow within me. I've prayed and I've pleaded to the heavens above To grant me a child, to nurture and love. I would sacrifice all if given the chance And bond with this child at very first glance. It wouldn't matter if it's a boy or a girl, Hair straight or wavy, or given to curl. Eyes of blue, brown, hazel or green Let them sparkle with love for all to be seen. In innocence born to cherish and adore, Content I would be and ask for no more. For in the depth of my heart, hope does abound Longing to hear that beautiful sound. The magic moment of when a baby cries Cooing and giggling and cute little sighs. The beauty of a newborn, a miracle indeed That could grow within, while just a small seed. What kind of mother would I really be If given the chance, I wish I could see If given the chance, I wish I could see. |
