Entry for March 21, 2007 - If it's not one thing it is another...
Remember how we were worried about pyloric stenosis with Hunter?  Well, thankfully that never happened.  Instead we have a mess of other problems to deal with.  Hunter is now on a hypoallergenic formula because he has an intolerance to cows milk and soy.  I sure hope he grows out of this and that he does not have food allergies.  We should know more when he gets to be 6 months.  He is also on two medications for severe reflux.  Hopefully this will help him be more comfortable.  The doctor said it should help reduce the amount of spitting up he is doing as well as make him more comfortable.  I can only imagine what he must be feeling  - no wonder he has been sooooo fussy.  Poor little squirt.  The doctor said that reflux tends to get better or disappear around 4-6 months.  Only 5% of kids still have reflux at 1 year of age.  I sure hope that 5% does not include Hunter.  Who would have guessed all these problems could develop in a baby that has not even hit 6 weeks of age yet?????  This too will all get better with time.  Once he is feeling better Christian and I should be able to get a little more sleep.  Sleep, I somewhat remember what that is......

Poor Hunter! At least they're giving you things to help. I sure hope it goes away soon too. And sleep, who needs it. :)
