Entry for January 31, 2007 - What a scare.

Yesterday was a hectic day.  Our little one decided to give us quite a scare.  Bucket was not active at all during the night or day and that is very uncommon and not good.   We tried everything to get a reaction.  Even sugar and caffiene didn't do the trick.   So, we put a call in to our ob and it was off to the hospital for a non stress test to make sure our little one was not in distress since I was having contractions.  After about 45 minutes Bucket finally passed the test - thank god.  I never would have thought that his/her movements would be such a blessing to feel after such a quiet period.  I do now.  I no longer really care about how uncomfortable he/she is making me.  I am just glad that I am feeling something.  I would never want any other expecting parent to go through what we went through yesterday.  Thank goodness we have such a good ob and hospital.

Once again my grandfather Demey needs some extra thoughts and prayers.  He was readmitted to the hospital last night.  His red blood count was extremely low again.  It appears that his ulcers are acting up and it is causing some bleeding.  This is not good since he is currently undergoing Chemo for his cancer.  We are hoping for a quick recovery so he can continue his treatments and can begin to feel more like his old self again.
