Saturday June 9th was a very sad day for the Demey family.  Beloved Megan was lost to a quick and serious illness.  It all started early in the morning on Saturday with Meg not wanting to walk and she was vomiting so my mom took her in to the vet and I met them there.  Meg was getting sicker and sicker and was eventually referred to MVS for continued care.  My mom and I transported her there and the entire time I was thinking that she was going to be just fine.  MVS had no good news to offer.  Poor Meg's intestines ruptured due to a mass that no one had any idea was even there.  Meg had no real chance so my parents made a very difficult and heart renching decision to let her go with some dignity.  Meg was put to sleep yesterday at 4:22pm.  Even in her final minutes she was trying to please us.  Meg will be greatly missed by all of us.  Hopefully one day a new Demey family member will be found and welcomed with open arms.
