For All You Gearheads Out There
Here's a list of the stuff I'm planning on taking on my hike. If you notice that I've left out something crucial (like a sleeping bag!) I'd appreciate you letting me know. Or if you think I made a bad call on one of these items, you could tell me that too! I'm not finished with the list, and it isn't ever going to include small things like sunscreen and soap. (note: it was definitely NOT my intention to get so much REI gear! I am hoping it is the best quality around its price.)
(Also, some people have asked -- I'm not going to be carrying my winter and summer sleeping bags at the same time. They, and some other items, will be switched in and out with the seasons).
And it seems like a blog entry can only be so long (think html) so this will be the gear entry, and the next entry will be for clothing I guess!
