Breakfast has been cooked, the house smells of egg, turkey bacon & buttered biscuits....and there's nothing like a full tummy to make one want to write more while the food settles. Last night was wonderful and surprising. After a rather "dull" day,I got a 2nd wind close to 10PM. Dishes were done, counters wiped down, the TV off. I wander back to my room to look at a copy of Mark Wilsons complete course in magic and sort thru a magic kit from another TV magician that was intended for grade school kiddies. While some of the tricks in this kit are very shoddy quality, the ol cups & balls set is workable. (terrible to put out shoddy stuff for little kids!) And I surprise myself while sitting yoga style on the bed, lapdesk in lap and for the moment, serving as a magicians table. Mark moves me thru a basic routine via the book-I'm delighted and surprised that I can do this-I'm having fun! It's effortless wonder as I do the routine over & over.

I wind up with an unexpected result that's different from what is expected.

I can't tell you what it is,and I don't know if it'll happen with the "new" vintage sets when they arrive, but at least I know it's a possibility and am prepared for it.
I don't have a "magician name" as yet- I do have an image idea,a persona idea,

and I'm wondering if my natural comedic nature will do that in.

Perhaps,as Julia Cameron states in her creative recovery books, that there's an overseer for all of us that hangs on to whatever tools we've abandoned & looks after them until we find our way back home. I kept all my magic stuff at dads-where it has been forgotten about for years-decades.
No.I haven't forgotten about the music-my ebay spree landed me a copy of "Composing Yourself!" A book on the mystical side of music. And on the list of to dos is restringing one of the mandos after I oil the fretboard.
