My girlfriends pretty much into artsy stuff, so all craft news interests her. There's a new beads wholesaler in South Africa, http://www.khaphunkha.co.za which specialises in beads, beads findings and other beads supplies.



I've never really understood how beads can be so fascinating, but after seeing the millions of types of beads (and don't forget clasps, findings, wooden beads, glass beads, crystal beads, crystals, clasps, seed beads etc.) I reckon it must be a huge industry.



We even got a book on how to make your own glass beads. It's really fascinating to see how diffucult it is to fashion a wicked looking bead out of different tubes of glass. It's really a fine art. For now we'll stick to buying our beads wholesale, but still,  I'd love to try to make one or two beads, just for fun!
