Friday - 22nd September- Marsiling Midnight
1.10am And I am still awake. The nocturnal lifestyle is still attached on me from the past midnight shifts I had done. I just love the night. My canned drinks are out of stock from the fridge. I just can drink plain water. But I began to be a little bit adventurous. Half an hour ago, in the middle of the night, I went out to the nearest Shell station in my neighbourhood with a 7-Eleven outlet. I bought a can and a bottle of pepsi, a Milo bar and Mentos cool mint tablets. I had to walk about 0.56 km from my place to the Shell petrol kiosk. ![]() My neighbourhood as seen from space.
I realised few residents in my neighbourhood are nocturnals too. The cofeeshops were closed, but there are few "pakciks" (malay uncles) chit-catting at the benches outside. And on another rival coffeeshop, a group of "apeks" (chinese uncles)...and pakciks....group together in a round table.... Approaching closer...I realised they are gambling. Few of them stare with a suspicious eye on me when I walked past. I made a serious look but giving an impression that I am not the kind of causing trouble. I realised there are even few nyonyas (chinese aunties).. and makciks (malay aunties) with tight slacks were around chit chatting. Just wondering...what their kids (if any) may wondering whaddahack or where da heck are their folks in time like this... Or maybe the kids don't ever bother. Walk my way to the petrol kiosk.. and a police patrol car passed by. Overheard cats shrieking...and relised that a black cat chasing a white cat crossing the major road...and almost being hit by a car. Welcome to Marsiling. The town that never sleeps..... "My Lord! For the grace that You have bestowed upon me, I shall never support the wrongdoers"
