Poem - My Blue Rose
photo

A bouquet of blue roses,

Sent to my doorstep.

A shock on my face,

A jump in my heart.

I knew deep inside,

Who that was from.

A smile on my face,

A laughter bubbling away.

My mom stared at me,

Thinking I’ve gone nuts.

I simply giggled away,

Saying nothing at all.

Chocolates and sweetness,

To complete the package,

I whisked them away,

In d privacy of my room.

I read each line,

On the message attached,

It warms my heart,

Lifting up my spirits.

I stared at the dozen,

Touching each one gently,

My first bouquet of blue roses,

From an unexpected source.

Isn’t that a lovely feeling,

Knowing someone’s thinking of you ?

It’s a divine intervention,

When paths begin to cross.

No questions asked,

No puzzling thoughts.

Simply an acceptance of affection,

From someone who matters now …
