Aidilfitri at Grandparents
![]() 24th September 2006, 6:00 pm We reached Telok Blangah at about 6.15 pm. Uncles and Aunts and my cousins were all already assembled when we arrived, savouring the ketupat, rendang, seronding sambal goreng, etc etc...(yummy! As usual, its such a jovial and exuberant atmosphere, interacting with each other. My eldest uncle, then conducted a small prayer, praying for the best of us the whole family, and the best of health to both grandparents. ![]() ![]() ![]() A solemn moments when prayers were conducted.
Its customary during Hari Raya to seek forgiveness among ourselves and to supplicate among each other for the best of health. Its quite an emotional moment. ![]() Dad (red) and my eldest uncle (black), being the eldests, are the first to seek forgiveness to their parents.
Later that night, we, being the grown-ups grandchildren, (me included), proceed to the void deck and ..believe it or not, we are going to be kids again ......burning sparklers.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Such a cheeky grandchildren we are! When we had enough, we had a photo session with all sorts of funny poses. It really does make my day! ![]() ![]() Grandpa's grandsons.

Being so much hyper, we had another round of meal when we got back upstairs. It was such a hectic yet enjoyable moment just by being at only one place for this Hari Raya. We call it a day at 10.00 pm and my family made our way back to Woodlands. ![]() I will be putting the video of the moments anytime soon. Stay tuned! ![]() 2006-10-25 09:52:01 GMT
