   Quote for the day

You shall be able to identify the true believers by their
kindness and compassion. They are like one body: when one limb hurts,
the entire body responds with restlessness and fever.
Propehet Muhammad (PBUH), as reported by Nu'Man bin Bashr
Al-Hadis 1:291

Its already 19 days since we had begin our fasting in the blessed month of Ramadhan this year.  And the local and the neighbouring country radios had started to spin Hari Raya songs. That does indicates that Ramadhan will soon leave us.
For each Muslim, the advent of Ramadan brings different meanings. While there are those who welcome Ramadan with a deep passion for its benefits and blessings, there are also those who feel its “burdens and difficulties” and yet those welcoming it solely for the sake of the festive Hari Raya celebrations that come after Ramadan.

Even before Ramadhan, Hari Raya Sales had already begun. For me, Ramadhan does save budget on meals, for I don't spend much on iftar(breaking of fast). I either iftar at home or in mosques. But to some, Ramadhan is but a month of grand feast. This is the time when you can find all sorts of variety of food from food stalls in bazaar in residential areas, mosques, and even in some void decks of residential blocks.

I enjoyed doing iftar and terawih (night prayers) on different mosques in Singapore, during my off days from work. The furthest mosques I had covered so far would be Moulana Mosques at Boat Quay and Darul Ghufran in Tampines.

Pasir Ris Beach

I met Ti today and again we went to Pasir Ris Beach. Yes, kind of awkward huh....going to the beach during weekdays....but we just love to do craziest things..But not to the extent of having a picnic in this fasting month!!!  I just wanted to be there with her, because she needs to have time out from her very hectic career life and schedule as a teacher.

We had a very good talk, serious and funny. Well that's what we always do....But till now, we still are not fighting...or quarrell......Hhehehe... I am worried...hehehe..

For those of you whom are curious about how's Ti is doing...She is still doing great, still the same bubbly self, the so called  Bubble Ti. Hehehe. She just wanna be off for a while. But she will be coming back to write in this SlowjackCity blog soon.
Darul Ghufran Mosque
The minaret of Darul Ghufran Mosque, Tampines

About 1800hrs, we were already on our way to Tampines. She will be breaking her fast at home while me, in Darul Ghufran Mosque.

I was being served with Chicken Rice and porridge. It was served in a large 'dulang'  (large circle tray) and to be shared among maximum 4 person. The porridge was the best I tasted so far among the mosques I go.

After Isyak, then I made my way to my place  that is Woodlands. Got home at 2115hrs....
