Today the town came alive at Heeney Street - the main business street in Chinchilla. May 7th is the designated Labour Day or May Day in Queensland. I didn't expect to see a Scottish bagpipe band here. But then I suddenly recalled, in my earlier blog entries, I had written that the first settlers in Chinchilla were the Scottish and the Chinese. Now, how come the Chinese didn't go on parade? And hey, I finally joined Youtube.com and put up my very first video! Enjoy the May Day Parade...
