It's time I wrote something. Why? Because everything in virtual space gets updated per second, but my blog has been idle since Friday.
Kiasu!
Let's recap on what happened over the weekend.
I went to Singapore on Sunday to check out Ikea Tampines. The building is a 3D carbon copy of the one in Mutiara Damansara (that's in Kay El, if you're wondering). The interior and layout... everything is the same. It was only the 4th day since it opened so I wasn't surprised by the crowd. It was interesting to see how patient some people are in a queue and how impatient others can be. But generally, I must say Ikea managed the crowd very well.
Freebies? You bet... I managed to get their signature soft toy (the red heart with outstretched arms) and some chocolates. For joining a quiz, I also got an Ikea shopping bag for participation.
I went with Benny who was more interested in going to the Escape Theme Park. But we couldn't find it so we spent the entire evening in Ikea.
Boy, can Singaporeans shop for furniture. It was a profitable day for Ikea and Singapore taxis.
