I just couldn't believe it!
Had the day off today, that's about the most exciting part... haha... (huh?) You want details, don't you...
- Woke up at 6.45 am by default and remembered the cleaner comes on Fridays... Drats, pulled myself out of bed to look outside, and sure enough she was already cleaning the cabin opposite of mine...
- Watched the news for a bit while the kind lady from Rockhampton did the floors, bed, windows and took out the rubbish. Chatted a bit and found out that a lady with long black hair from Malaysia was in Chinchilla too some time ago... Now could that be MY TWIN from Siemens... Nope, I deny having a twin.
- Made a tuna omelette, toasted some pancakes, drank some tea... boy, the teabags in Aussie are amazing, after the 3rd refill of hot water, my tea was still as black as my hair!
- Went online, watched more Marmalade boy, made some phone calls to friends and my dear cousin... laughed the morning away.
- Remembered to cook lunch and chow down.
- Next thing I heard was a LOUD BOOM... and my whole camp section had a power failure.
- Walked over to the nice cleaner lady, reported the power failure, got diverted to "any of the wives who are home at the family section of the camp"... met Claudia (not Schiffer) who was such a darling... She called her hubby to solve the problem. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

- Got changed and went to pick up the car keys to go shopping in DALBY... yeah, i can't stay indoors when there is no freaking air-cond! HOT!!!! hehe, only 28degC.
- Drove to Dalby with my colleague who was escaping the heat as well. It was a Friday, and shops were supposed to be opened.
- Arrived in Dalby, lo and behold, the whole town looked like they got evacuated. Saw a tiny notice on one window "Closed for Dalby Show Holiday"

- Drove to see the Dalby Show, only to find that it was one of those funfairs with rides I see pretty often in Malaysia... you know those at new housing project launches, vacant lots of land in Johor Jaya... admission was AUD 10, which I was totally unwilling to part with - I mean, this?, compared to my educational experience at Miles Historical Village... Found a shop open, and spent money there on Lollies (aka jelly beans) to bring home.
- Left Dalby, and laughed to myself that at least I got to take photos of Dalby. Then, I remembered my BLOG PROMISE... to take photos of the spectacular scenery along Warrego Highway with its rolls of HAY.
- Excited, I armed myself with my camera and ARRRGHHHHHHH!!! someone collected all the hay, someone collected all the hay, i repeat, SOMEONE collected all the hay and put-the-hay-away.... WHATTTTTT????

Anyway, I got home, stared at my notebook for less than 5 secs, and my darling Benny came online. Well, life wasn't so bad after all... hehehe... The air-cond was on the whole afternoon since the power cut was resolved, so the container was nice and cool... Plus, I did take photos today - and even changed the header photo for this blog...
