Hey
I was just updating my website on Virtualtourist.com and guess what? I have been voted top 5 for Johor reviews. Looks like nobody updated anything on Johor.
Well, I've put plenty of photos of my travels and interesting reviews of places I've been to. If you like travelling, go visit my page. Just click on ::sklc:: at vt on my Blog Roll over there.
What else am I doing at the moment? I'm checking out pictures of Ikea Tampines and Vivo City - both are newly-open shopping malls in Singapore. I live real close to Singapore but they should make entry into Singapore less of a hassle. If they do that, maybe I'll visit Singapore every week.
I super -respect those who travel in everyday to work or study in Singapore. The lure of the currency and city lights are just too pow(d)erful. Don't mind me... Nowadays i like saying powderful instead of powerful. No particular reason.
Tonight! Yes, I can't wait for tonight. Every Friday night, my friends and I meet up for cell group. It's a church set-up to encourage members to practise group support and grow together in all aspects of character and spiritual life. We also go places together to promote bonding, to challenge our selfish selves and most of all to preach the good news of Jesus Christ wherever we go.
What do we do during cell group?
- Icebreakers
to loose those nerves and rekindle some warmth, laughter and self-esteem
- Worship
- I find worship vital to focus our attention that cell group is a Christian meeting, all about Jesus, his love and our purpose on earth. Read Rick Warren's book "The Purpose Driven Life" to know what I'm talking about
- Sharing TAWG
Did you have your Time Alone With God today? If yes, what did God impress upon you, speak to you or more importantly, have you applied what you learnt? And please... save a word of encouragement for the whole group too.
- Sermon review
You gotta admit that nobody remembers the last Sunday's sermon at the end of the week. So I'm glad we have this review to remind us again of what we were supposed to do or what life changes were challenged of us by the pastor... And to get all of that done. I'm doing sermon review tonight. Yikes, now what did pastor teach on Sunday. Oh yeah, we gotta be better at listening - that's the topic.
- Prayer time
Time to share your deepest secrets and struggles so that the group can pray with you. This is the time when everyone suddenly has to go off early. Nah, I'm kidding. Faith increases with each answered prayer and the next time you pray, you'll find it easier and easier to trust and believe that God will come through for you.
- Fellowship
This part often involves food. We'd raid the kitchen, hang out at a mamak stall or at the very least exchange phone numbers.
