Today must be the most eventful day in my life. I was at the Senai airport, about to leave for Sandakan with my mom, when I received the fateful phonecall.

My passport should be out of the Australian embassy tomorrow which means before the weekend is over I will step foot on Queensland soil.

So there I was, half wondering what I was doing, bidding farewell to my poor mom who now had to go to Sandakan on her own.

The morning started like any other. But I received a call from my good friends at work who informed me that my Paka counterparts were in KLIA and were about to leave for Brisbane. Then it dawned on me that I should call my Head Office to find out what on earth was happening.

Well, the good thing is that with my holiday cancelled - leave is not a problem now for my honeymoon. The bad thing is that I really wanted to experience Sandakan over the weekend and play with the Orang Utans, eat Nan King dim sum and taste the freshest fish in Malaysia.

By the way, the picture shows how far I managed to go before I received the call. Yeah, just at the door...
