What's on my mind today? I'm just reflecting on all the interesting things I've been doing for the past 2-3 weeks.

  1. Went through old photographs (digital and hardcopy) - framed some graduation pics and got some good digitals printed
  2. Learning the ropes again at work - more like a history lesson of why things are done the way they are done - amazing how I never knew so many concepts existed before.
  3. Helped my housemate (landlord) rewire the wrongly installed fluorescent light at home.
  4. Allowed the shopkeeper to convince me to buy up all 4 types of 3-pin power socket converters.
  5. Found out my mom finally bought a handphone - and taught her a few tricks too.
  6. Contacted relatives and old friends all over the globe and informed them about my upcoming wedding.
  7. Bridal photo selection, menu selection, bouquet selection, committee selection, photographer selection, you name it, we've done it Benny! The wedding is so alive now. Even the JB dinner invites are ready. There's even a blog up. tck tck tck. Such efficiency.
  8. Went through the 'emotional' process of anticipation and joy because an old buddy of mine competed in Yamaha Asian Beat '07. Congrats Jon - you know why.
  9. Solved some minor hiccups during modification works for replacing a Siemens actuator with an Auma actuator.
  10. Hung out at my JB family's new house.
  11. Found out from a bridal magazine that the most important part of a wedding gown is the back - that's the part most visible to the majority of your guests. A bit too late now.
  12. Scrutinizing grocery prices in Malaysian newspapers and saving them in Excel so that I have a ready list in AUD - I want to know exactly what's cheap in Aussie. I'm so Chinese!
  13. Inherited Benny's Dockers because he outgrew them and I grew into them.
  14. Food testing at the restaurant, of course. It was a sumptious meal complete with dessert and warm fellowship.
  15. Attended 2 funerals.
  16. Had the pleasure to see a friend who's been bed-ridden, finally on her toes again and attending church.
  17. Explored Queensland, Abu Dhabi and Dubai via Google Earth.
  18. Managed to help arrange a job interview for an intern in my power plant last night with a friend of a friend. The blessed boy got the job. Starts on Monday.
  19. Reviewed my plans to go to Sandakan and Mount Kinabalu since I still haven't gotten my flight itinerary for Australia.
  20. Found out my cousin (who had always wanted to be my maid-of-honour) will be graduating on 07.07.07 - the day I'm getting married. Poor Kim, don't worry darling - see you in Penang, hopefully.
  21. Learnt a valuable lesson in life - a complaining spirit comes forth from an ungrateful heart. Help me, oh Lord, to always be grateful, thankful and joyful.

All the above and more...

So, if you ask me again, why I'm still in JB and haven't left for Australia, it's because by God's grace I wouldn't be deprived of all the blessings, experiences and stories above, which money cannot buy and others cannot possess.
