Welcome to my blog. I'm very new at this so bear wih me. you have much information about me and my art on my website, I thought I'd take a second or two and introduce you to my youngest child *smile*
"Lelani"
She came into my life 2 years ago on my Father's, birthday (May 4th). She was born on the anniversary of my Fathers death (April 15th). (So I figured it was a sign)
I had just purchased my home after living many years in apartments and I had been shopping for a puppy for a few months. I was looking for just the right one. I had no idea which breed I was going to get, I was just looking at options.
There had been a boxer male that I had my eye on at the local pet store, but I just wasnt sure.
Well one day while driving along, I saw a sign that said puppies for sale, so I stopped. There was a large wooden box with about 10 puppies in it.They were all black labs. They were all just laying down, as This was May. Summer was already here in Phoenix.
I stooped down and made a clicking sound with my tongue and Lelani jumped up and said "HEY MOM! TAKE ME HOME!" with a big sloppy kiss to my face. the puppy breath was beautiful, and she was adorable. I just couldnt bring myself to leave her. especially with the coincidence of the dates. So off we went to the pet store to get her a couple of hundred dollars worth of DOGGIE STUFF
I took her home and she was a hit with my son. Lelani became the master of the house very quickly. getting a bath almost every day, "She just loves water!"
She was quite the handful, I had forgotten just how much WORK puppies were, she chewed EVERYTHING! I lost several pairs of shoes to her teething. We soon bought her, hervery first ball and she learned to fetch very early, playing with a ball is her 2nd favorite past time, number one is being sprayed with a garden hose, she jumps and bites at the water. it's very funny to watch.
She is quite the character, she barks three times when I ask her if she loves me. RIGH. ROUGH ROOoo. She loves to shake and she has a few other doggie tricks that are cute but I wont bore you with that..LOL
I'm sure I will share more about LANI in the future, as well as post more images of her in my travels. Until next time.
