Whatever's On My Mind
What's on my mind, poetry, gripes, happy things, dreams, nightmares, and basically just randomness.
A very RARE occurance
Perhaps I am good luck, or perhaps I am bad luck.  I had been chatting with one of the parishoners at Cross & Crown about back home in Ohio, and about the snow.  Most everyone assumes that it is so much better to not have snow and real cold.   (I've often chuckle to myself when I hear people exclaim, "It's FREEZING out here!", as I think to myself, no that's another 20 degrees colder yet...)  Anyways as I was driving the looper (seminary van) back up the hill I noticed the rain on the windshield looked a little clumpy.  Once I was done with the run and got out to walk to the youth retreat we were having, my thoughts were confirmed, it was snow.  It was coming down pretty good too.  I mentioned this to the high school students who were at the retreat, which summarily evacuated the room as they ran out to catch snowflakes.   It warmed my heart to watch them.  None of the snow stuck, but according to the parishoner from Rohnert Park, it has been about 9 years since it last snowed here.   So depending on who you are, and if you believe I brought the snow with me from Ohio... I am either good luck, or bad luck.  Watching the excitement of those high schoolers though, I am going to have to go with good luck.

They can keep as much of the snow as they want. :) Life in Ohio is good without it.
