I met Rick at an online support group board for people giving up smoking. As you might know that when you quit smoking, sometimes you go into a depression, especially if you are prone to depression. A year ago October, I quit smoking, (sadly though, I went back) but I believe it was on my third day, I hit major deep depression. To the point where I was seriously considering suicide. I didn't want to die, but it was the depression that was taking over on me. I went online and expressed my feelings and possible intentions. Several people went out of their way to try to get my email address, but Rick Thomas spent all morning and some of the afternoon talking with me through email, letting me know that he cared and he wanted to help me. He really let me know that I was special and worth saving and living. I know without a shadow of a doubt that if Rick hadn't been online that day, I would not be here today. He was my Angel that day, and will always have a special spot in my heart. He gave himself unselfishly that day, and I will never forget him for that. Rick Thomas is a very special Angel, and deserves to be added to your tree of Angels.
